Please see my answer to moonorchid for the meaning of anti. Calling the script bad and beyoind saving is railing against it, the definition of anti. It's not being dismissive to call antis antis. It's stating the obvious. For us who like the drama, the plot makes a lot of sense.

Please see my answer to @moonorchid for the meaning of anti. I've seen other cdramas with worse scripts. Compared to American and British shows, cdramas really can't compare. But I haven't seen cdramas that have been skewerd like this one as if this has the worst script in cdrama history which it isn't. By the way, calling something trash is railing against it. And that's the definition of anti.

Here's the google definition of anti-fan - someone who enjoys writing, discussing or in some cases making derivative works about a piece of media, but solely for the purpose of railing against or parodying it. I'm just stating the obvious. Aren't those viewers who are complaining about the drama railing against it, and even parodying it? There's a discussion topic that is a good example of a parody of this drama. So you rail against the drama but don't want to be called anti and is even insulting me? So antis can insult those who like this drama calling us airheads and we can't say why we love this drama? Where's the logic in that? Better yet, where's the justice in that? I'm not going to stoop so low as to throw your insults back at you. I will just reiterate this point - if antis can rail against the drama, why can't those who love the drama profess our love for the drama without being insulted?

i never skip dramas coz i want to make sure i don’t miss anything. who knows, a skipped conversation between characters you deem unimportant might be significant. skipping would also cause you to lose the immersive experience. i never found this drama dragging coz i was interested in all the characters and was analyzing their actions and motives. if you skip scenes, you would have a hard time understanding the plot or immersing youself in the story, so no wonder you felt it was dragging. i found bai lu’s character immensely interesting. she’s smart, a dutiful daughter, has good work ethics, hardworking, but terribly flawed emotionally. in the hands of another actress, shu yin would have been obnoxious. but bai lu made her likeable.

yup, i think this is the last long wait. though i think some days will just have 1 episode

aside from the mind-conditioning started by yxh (internet users paid to defame a celebrity/drama) and water armies (paid to propagate negativity) in china, i think the other main culprit that gets viewers antsy is the schedule. three days without new episodes is just too long a wait for a bai lu/wang hedi drama. and some days with just one episode also feel lacking. whoever does the scheduling should consider that the hotter the stars are, the more antsy fans will get, thus more likely to complain about everything under the sun 😫 In addition, a regular schedule is more comfortable.

not bad at all. it’s slow burn. the leads took their time to get together which for me is perfectly okay, i enjoy the chase. but a lot of viewers got antsy. maybe the chemistry is just so overpowering that viewers wanted to see the kissing scenes right away 😏

a lot of people, including me, found this drama enjoyable. "script is trash", "repetitive plots" are reviews that i read in weibo and douban, most likely spread by yxh and water armies as @HangInThere pointed out. but many cdramas have bad writing and repetitive plots that have not been nitpicked like this. in fact, a lot of cdramas have repetitive flashbacks too that I find really annoying, but I take it as just being typical cdrama. And I have long accepted dragginess as part of cdramas, though I wasn't bothered by it here. if you're rating a cdrama you need to compare it with other cdramas. if you compare cdramas against, say, a British production like The Crown, and say you rated TC a 10, no cdrama will have a rating above 8.

there's a swarm of antis in this thread. if you focus on the story and don't nitpick it, you won't find it draggy. I enjoyed it

you don't need to know. that's their trademark, they stealthily spread negativity that pervades the internet. the criticisms I've read in this thread I've read first in weibo in douban

yes, 3 years ago, Shi Yan was in the audience when Shu Yi was presented with a journalism award though he had to leave early. Shi Yan remembers it so she must have left a deep impression on him. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to remember seeing him.

this drama never pretended to be perfect. no cdrama is perfect. but have their flaws been nitpicked and exaggerated as they have been with this drama? please see https://kisskh.at/discussions/cuo-liao/121285-who-still-believes-in-douban. the production team was blackmailed to prevent yxh and water armies from spreading negativity about the drama. when they didn't give in to blackmail, this is what happens. the negative comments spread through the internet (I've seen some comments on Weibo and Douban making their way here) that has the effect of encouraging even more criticisms.

that is what antis do. they nitpick a drama and exacerbate faults that they would ignore with other dramas

one or two bonus episodes. the second one seems to be a surprise. i haven't heard of what it might be. i'm hoping it's about their first encounter 3 years ago
