i think i’m experiencing what douban users feel when yxh (trolls paid to defame celebriries) and water armies attack dramas. too bad for those who try to besmirch the drama, those who like it have minds of their own and cannot be swayed

people who watch shows can already have prejudices that can cloud their perception of what they’re watching.

lol but this is actually realistic. in real-life, couples who have some falling out can take days to patch up, if ever. It's just that viewers nowadays are used to instant gratification 😃

I like it as do others who have not been swayed by prejudice or criticisms and have been watching it earnestly and with open minds. Check out the dscussion topic "Who still believes in Douban" regarding where some criticisms are coming from.

Yeah, I think Dylan became popular overseas first before he took off in China. He's very popular on Netflix. His dramas LBFAD, The Rational Life and Meteor Garden are always trending here in the US

So glad Ever Night 2 was recognized. The story was so cool, about trying to save their world from darkness, it pushed me to read my first Chinese web novel.

Only For Love is not perfect but what cdrama is? For all its flaws, OFL is no less perfect than many cdramas with higher ratings but for some reason, its flaws are being exaggerated. The "no plot" complaint is plain ridiculous, it's not worth discussing. Dragging? I can count with one hand cdramas I did NOT find dragging. No chemistry? If viewers are not so hung up on their favorite cps and not prejudiced against some actors here, they'd feel it.

There is a discussion topic "Who still believes in Douban" that describes some practices in the Chinese Entertainment industry that would explain why Chinese drama scoring systems like Douban are not a reliable way to judge cdramas.

Basically, production teams need to pay yxh and water armies so their dramas wouldn't get mailgned and get low scores. That is, if you don't give in to blackmail, settle for low scores.

it seems all their intelligence go to their work and none is left to figure out emotional stuff. I think Shi Yan thinks Shu Yi still has Xing Zhou in her heart and that he means to Shu Yi as much as Yi Yang does. "he's not special" If only he knows. But Shu Yi does not know how to tell him so.

she probably thinks she's so smart when she evades, lies and sugarcoats. but i really like how this drama seems to be making her pay for this misconception. i've been getting concerned about female leads in other cdramas lying through their teeth and getting away with it
