If you can't be bothered to create something that will not mislead people, then you should not publish it. Create a chart in your computer for your use and yours only. Everyone knows that anything published online will be seen by others worldwide. You talk of being rude, but don't consider your responsibility to refrain from publishing information that others can use to mislead others.

I use X to view information from Chinese sites, such as Yunhe and Kuyun. I have explained in my previous comment why data should be used with care to ensure fairness and avoid misconceptions.

Strictly featuring dramas that "start in yearxx" is simplistic if not downright naive and why professional charts like Yunhe feature dramas within an effective playback year. Yunhe's 2025 chart even features Under The Skin2 which started and ended in 2024 but has an effective playback period that extended up to 2025. Sharply cutting charts' coverage to only include those that start in yearxx effectively hides the success of dramas that start airing at the end of the year. You already knew this happened with Blossoms Shanghai. A conscientious chart creator would have done something to consider the unique situation of dramas that start and end on different years.
Probably 90% of those who view your charts would see them fresh, right after you create them. Only a few would view past years. Case in point, the X post that referenced your chart. Did it also include dramas that started in 2024 but whose successes showed up in 2025? Since it did not, it's quite misleading and shows the inadequacy of unprofessional charts where real-life implications are not considered, such as, that most people view year-end dramas in the following year and would have a wrong impression of not seeing them in the following years' stats.
It would be fairer for charts to include dramas that ended at a given year since stats of year-end dramas would be sorely missing data at the start year. However, viewers are more familiar with dramas' start years. Thus, a more professional and sophisticated approach would be to include dramas that start or end at a given year. If this would entail including year-end dramas in charts of start and end years and typing the previous year, say after the title, of dramas that started in the previous year, that's a small price to pay for fairness. Anyway, how many year-end dramas are there each year?
Lol 😂 good grief, makes me think this drama was running from any competition and ended up at the last few days…
The reason for showing it so late in the year is not known, but I'll hazard a guess - it's probably due to the massive smear campaign against Guardians of the Dafeng, reportedly worth around 200 million rmb. I guess the producers wanted the smear campaign to die down, so the airing date kept getting pushed, but they couldn't move it past 2024, maybe due to contractual obligations? Who knows? But regardless of the reason for why it was shown late in the year, excluding it from 2025 reports is unfair and not right, considering that it aired mostly in 2025 and Tencent itself announced it to be its first 2025 drama to reach 30k. Including it in 2024 chart sounds more like just quietly completing the paperwork. Who cares about 2024 stats at the end of 2025? Dylan Wang is the most bullied artist in C-Ent, and that's the main reason his fans won't tolerate any attempt to continue the bullying by suppressing the drama's achievements.

Do you have an article from Tencent that excludes GOTD from their list of 2025 dramas that broke 30k? On the other hand, the 4th photo of the following link is a screenshot of a Tencent article announcing GOTD as its first 2025 drama that broke 30k https://x.com/4theLoveofDidi/status/1995059650656719185
Since GOTD started on 12/28/2024, it mostly aired in 2025. At the end of 2024, it would hardly have registered a blip in the stats for the year, since it only aired for 4 days then. If it doesn't get included in 2025 stats, its accomplishments are virtually hidden, since who would care to look at 2024 stats in 2025? Even if 2024 stats are updated to add GOTD, outdated screenshots of 2024 stats taken at end of 2024 or start of 2025 would not have included GOTD. Quite unfair, isn't it? As you've mentioned, Blossoms Shanghai also suffered the same fate.
To be fair, those dramas that started or ended airing in the year being reported should be included. Professional charts like Yunhe do it this way, though Yunhe considers what it calls the effective playback period such that dramas with effective playback period starting or ending in the year being reported are included. Note that the effective playback period even goes past the end date.
Why is Guardians of the Dafeng not in the list? Although it started on 12/28/2024, it completed in 2025 and is usually included among 2025 dramas. Tencent Video itself named GOTD as the first Tencent 2025 drama to reach 30k https://x.com/4theLoveofDidi/status/1995059650656719185/photo/4
see? when a cdrama is fundamentally good they'll make exceptions. i can't wait!!!!!!bring back all the original…
Yup, it was so good and successful, the producer announced season 2 only 10 months after the first season aired. Had the drama flopped, the producer would, most likely, not have announced another season so quickly or he might have dropped the whole series altogether, leaving the rest of the novel un-adapted.
OMG! I am so happy and excited about this!🎉🥂
I stayed up the whole night (it's past 6 am where I am rn) watching out for news about the 2025 Weibo TV & Internet Video Summit. The awards Didi and GOTD got plus this news made the vigil worth it. I'm going to bed with a big smile 😊
