Okay so I have not been very impressed with the recent trailer or the first teaser of this from Gmmtv 2023 BUT I am so glad I was proven wrong. The first ep was quite enjoyable and builds up intrigue about all the characters while also addressing how generally 'lame' the idea of these guys acting as 'hunters' is.
Though personally I've seen way less attractive men act like they're a 'big deal' irl so atleast it's plausible that this group would be able to seduce women.
Nobody's acting stood out as bad or anything and the script wasn't as cringe as I thought it would be.
Also that little bit of crime lord Off? I need to see him in an anti villain role in the future

See I don't know what your experience on Twitter has been so I can't relate to that, they have millions of fans so you'll always meet some defensive fans, thats the whole point of fanaticism. Pointing out that I don't condone it or agree with it but this is the case with every popular person. I was editing my comment cuz I specifically did not want you to feel like you cannot hold an opinion about their acting but you replied within minutes of me posting. It's not about gatekeeping or anything from my side, I just didn't feel the need for it on a page that has nothing to do with CC or O. Also I understand you were talking about Gun's acting and that's completely fine if you think he deserves better and different projects but you should realise that you clearly implied to presuming CC will be run of the mill and not good enough and that Off's acting would be one reason, that's kinda insulting imo. Kinda like people who confessed to not wanting to watch Not Me cuz Gun's physical build is not suited to being a badass. There's a thin line between constructive criticism and just plain rudeness and you never know what people may perceive of it. Maybe your experience on Twitter is making you feel extra defensive or cornered cuz I was not trying to get you to change your views on Off's acting btw but your use of the word bullies feels like quite an overreaction. In this comment section itself there are people who don't get some plot points and didn't enjoy the direction and there are users speaking in the defence of the series would you term that as bullying by fans of the series? People being defensive over the things they like is literally what the internet is about.

When the director of the series says he out acted Gun at times I'm pretty sure he did a good job. You do you tho.

Actually you can go on the cooking crush page and write your opinions cuz many have commented their reservations and doubts and I think that's more valid cuz atleast it's about the series itself. I just felt the tone of the comment could be baity to ignite a discussion of ships etc and it's Gun's project with Tor so the focus should be on them and the series. Of course I know people have different preferences when it comes to acting and actors and it's your choice as a viewer. So there wasn't a need of fear or you to apologise to me. Off fans already know many don't appreciate his acting, even Off knows he still has long ways to go so if you're not being totally insulting to him no one's gonna be on your throat. Personally I don't get comparing Gun and Off as actors cuz one has nearly 20 years in the industry while the other barely 7yrs . Off never wanted to be an actor and that's why many praise his growth especially Gun himself.

Solos exist on both sides. Some Gun fans do the same. Also personally I feel there wasn't any need for you to give your review of Off's acting and presumptions of how 'run of the mill' CC may be in this page. Why compare a finished series to one that hasn't even started filming? That shows a bit of prejudice. Please look forward to Homeschool Series and Snake Queen movie if you aren't a fan of fluff and OffGun.

Wow, some of y'all really saved your breath all this time (?) and ran to the comment and review section here just as this ended. Most of the scathing remarks I cannot comprehend. This is a COMEDY genre, it isn't meant to make sense. Tere's a difference between being 'ridiculous' and 'so ridiculous that it's entertaining'.
Stuff like Weekend at Bernie's wouldn't pass this crowd I guess.
The story is basically these down on luck people who landed themselves in shit, tried to clean the shit but ended up slathering it over themselves and have lost the water hose.
It's unserious and I enjoyed it. Also over-acting? Did we see the same series or is our opinions that different cuz I don't think they had enough material to show their full talents excepting Sun's. All of them did justice and the side characters did justice.

It's sad that this series will never get it's due cuz it isn't a BL. This has to be one of the best productions from gmmtv in a while specially considering it isn't even a high budgeted one.

How they got saved from the bad guys is based on a real life incident. It actually happened. Thai student protestors stopped the attempted forceful dissapearance of student body leader Penguin by govt forces.

What is 'too bad' about the story and script please point it out.

Idk I just find people who say the drama is bad not being able to actually say what they find bad? The acting, directing cinematography everything's been good enough. It's not a fun romcom but more melo romance and slow burn. The predictability of the story is of course one issue but there are still a lot of things to look forward to.
Basically it's the ship that is new and fans are not being able to move on from Bright Tu's ship or BW ship and for Off well they've not given the fans much to look forward to for his character.
Truth is if this was a BL w Nub being male, there would be fans defending the plot to no limits calling it 'realistic' and slice of life.

How is it 'soo bad', the plot and pace may not be for you but the story itself isn't bad and acting has been decent enough.

Basically they want Off to be the main lead cuz they're a BrightTu shipper. They're not being able to handle all the fanservice Davikah and Bright have been giving.

Wow the bl ship fans + f4 fans literally dropped the rating from 8.1 to 7.7 in a matter of mins. Psychotic really.

What an episode!! I've needed 2 working days to process the pain and stress. Atp we need to crowd fund Sean's therapy sessions cuz he's gonna need a TON of it. The nerve of the writers to figuratively 'kill' his spirit at the place where he goes to be 'reborn'.
Just imagining the whiplash he's getting is giving me anxiety and he STILL has to find out that Dan killed his father!! I'd rather Dan took the secret to his grave cuz we've seen Sean suffer enough emotional turmoil. I can't take a Sean Yok fallout on top of all of this.
The acting in this episode is peak (I feel like I say this every ep).
OffGun's every pore giving applaudible performances. Black is a menace but I like seeing the contrast of his presence opposed to White. No wonder when Sean first met White as Black his first instinct had been to punch him.
The series just keeps you guessing and everytime there's a well formed theory and you feel like 'Aha I've figured it out!'
The writers come out and say 'No, you don't' (except Todd sus lol)
The cliffhangers have been spot on and the week long waits even more torturous. I want to get closer to the end and at the same time I don't want it to end. We've been spoilt by all this quality.

You're projecting other assault victims trauma onto White and wanting Sean to be answerable to it. There is no proof that Whife has trauma from the choking, this doesn't mean the makers are saying it's okay to choke someone in anger. They show White being able to look past it and in a completely different situation and context to other assault victims. White being able to move past this doesn't mean someone who has had to go through being strangled unprovoked specially if its domestic violence should also do the same. This was his situation and his judgement. He was knocked out just an ep before in the fist fight so the level of the violence in their situation is different. If it was actual Black there he would have been able to get out of the chokehold and it would've been a one on one fight. And in the room Sean asks White if he is still hurting and that if White wants he can hurt him back. White chooses to only knock his head a lil and Sean again asks if they're even. I don't think the issue was just brushed off or taken lightly, White chose to take it lightly.
Also Sean's hurt is shown as important because he isn't just suffering from one trauma. He is suffering from multiple, trust issues, having his father be called a drug lord, having his father being killed w no trial, having been bullied and allienated, and then being orphaned.

The correlations you are making do not connect with me. I am trying to understand what you're putting across and I think you mean to say people got hurt in both situations so it can be compared. Well the difference lies in the fact that Sean's victim is alive and well and can speak for themselves while Dan's isn't. Murder and assault are NOT the same thing. And yes there is a scale to judge, that is why you have 1st degree murder, 2nd degree murder, and the various leverages of various kinds of homicide. All is murder but intent, context matters.
DanYok can happen even without Dan getting redemption so I don't get how this has somehow been about the ships and wordings. Somehow I feel like I need to clarify that I have no issues with the DanYok ship, personally it isn't for me because I have a bad history with cops and injustice. Doesn't mean I am comparing the two ships to see who is better because that is the stupidest thing. Their character progression and their actions are something I am commenting on.
Dan's degree of guilt shows his degree of fault. I am only putting forward what has been shown to us in the series.

Man how have you twisted it to be about the ships. Dan has literally been represented as a 'fallen angel' according to the director. We as an audience ARE supposed to question his actions, understand his guilt and hope he gets redeemed the way he wants to, not automatically be like 'oh but the poor boy did nothing wrong'. Nobody is putting away Sean's actions like oh it was a tinsy lil thing, but the one he hurt, the actual victim chose to understand and give him forgiveness. Irl in a court of law White's decision would matter most if he pursued it as an assault on him. And whatever way you look at it the two situations would never be comparable.

Yes it was violence but there are degrees to violence. Both the situations can be haunting but on different degrees. Not equatable at all. Sean's would legally be a crime if only White pursued it as assault on him. The victim White understood Sean's anger and HE gave him his forgiveness. The entire talk in the room shows that White understood the circumstances and chooses to look past it. There is no justification more needed for the audience.
In Dan's case it is inarguably murder, an actual crime. People don't 'only have a problem w Dan', we have a problem w how the institution he belongs to uses these excuses to justify their actions irl. A cop is always supposed to shoot w intent to injure not kill. He fucked up and he knows how much, that is the reason
why he carries all this guilt. Again you can hope he gets redeemed but that decision lies on Sean who was a victim of consequence of Dan's actions.

Again read my other reply, I was NOT talking about YOU. I was talking about other people on other forums overlooking this because he already seems guilty. He is looking for repentance and that IS the point. Some are refusing to see his fault when he is LITERALLY being potrayed as a fallen angel by the script.

No I don't think your version came off as an apologist I was just pointing out the two actions were not equatable. One was in anger where the victim understood the perpetrator's anger, while the other ended up in a loss of life where the victim was not even awarded a fair trial. I'm talking about other forums where I have seen people making huge apologies and excuses regarding this.
