There is a difference between people who watch BL and the people who 'only' watch BL. My comment is directed at the latter. I don't know how you categorise me as a bl fan, I hardly watch any bls unless the plot is interesting, again this isn't me saying I'm special, I just don't go around searching around for only bl contents. For this I love the director and her movies and I was excited to see her first venture into series. There are plenty of "where is the romance"! "Yok and Dan are the only thing worthwhile" comments. If you can't find those well and good I guess.
