Yes, defence should never be anyone's answer. They can hope he gets redeemed but cannot overlook the impact his action had on Sean and his family. It's eye opening to see people twist their morals because the cop in this situation has been humanised prior.

You cannot seriously compare what Dan did, to Sean choking White in anger. The latter is no domestic violence because they weren't anything at that point. It's a violent brawl between two people who practice fight eo on the regular, that ends in no actual injury. What Dan did is 2nd degree murder. He would rightfully deserve jail time regardless of how guilty he feels. Whether you personally feel he deserves it is your opinion, but in a court of law he should be guilty. It's because he was a cop that he was able to pass it off as a 'mistake', so many irl do the same and the victims never get a chance of fair trial. He owns that guilt at least but the only one who's forgiveness matters is Sean's, not Yok's not ours .
I never said loving his character means they are immediately an apologist. You can love Dan's character while at the same time accepting that what he did was
wrong. That is the moral conundrum that should be. Not an immediate it's ok. Plus his character inevitably represents the institution, just that this time they've made the audience like him before the reveal.

With DanYok, was it just me or it felt the kiss was purposefully a bit one sided. Dan seemed to be holding back. Honestly I loved Unar but Dan the cop isn't very appealing to me and seems so sus specially knowing what he's done. I am surprised there hasn't been much discussion here about the gravity of police brutality. I feel like a lot are brushing it off because he's Dan, the vulnerable, rebel artist, who feels guilty but aren't seeing it from the victim's pov. Right now Yok can just disassociate and comfort Dan but what when he finds out the identity of the victim. I hope people don't blindly become cop apologists when I think P'Nuchy deliberately made Dan the way he is so that we can introspect our own morality.

Yeah, so I've been stuck in the tent for 2 days now lol.
This ep was again so well done. The tent scene felt so intimate on various levels. Both Off and Gun were EMOTING. The wary begining, the soft approaches from Sean, White's hesitations
but also his pure want to do this, Sean asking consent, White's anxiety and when he got the answer he wanted he bared himself. That button moment felt like it was another way of Sean asking if he could HAVE White. Goosebumps..
Frankly I've seen more graphic love scenes in bl series but have yet to feel the intimacy that I felt here. Even how they couldn't keep their hands to themselves the morning after was so cute.
This makes me want to see a feature film w OffGun where there is less censorship and a story line that tests their every fibre as actors.

You know what, I actually think this kiss WAS meant to suprise the audience and make them question it. Why did Sean kiss him? Is Sean in love w Black? Was Sean always in love w Black? Does Sean know it's White? I think it creates good anticipation for the next ep. The major missing piece is the talk Sean and Gumpa had before this scene, and Sean's monologue of what he's been thinking of White. I think these will be revealed in the coming eps and looking back the context will make perfect sense.

I never tire of saying the way this series is shot and directed is cinematic excellence.
This episode had so much progression for the relationships and the kiss was aptly the crescendo.
That forehead kiss was almost full of reverence.
Such beautiful emotions at play specially how they end it.
DanYok's nude scene interactions where handled brilliantly. Love how it did not take the obvious sexual route and instead focused on what Art should do, it makes you feel.

The rhetoric is getting old to you cuz you refuse to see it. Anyway your entire argument about bl and lgbtq if you go by semantics makes no sense because essentially every bl IS lgtbq. The tagline bl has just become more popular to specify the male leads are a mlm couple and the plot revolves around their love.
The difference lies in whether it's a good representation of the lgbtq community. This isn't a competition by any means but you're hounding and asking for reasons as to why Not Me is getting praised for being a good lgbtq while other bls don't get the same appreciation ​and you think it's some sort of insult to the others.
Saying people don't know what they're talking about, calling people a bunch of kids for separating good and bad representation according to their understanding, it comes off as a lot of superiority on your part instead.

Not Me is superior for the single fact that no bl series in Thailand has ever shown a pride scene, or talked about marriage equality and homophobia in the workplace making real life people lose jobs. Name me any other bl series specifically Thai where you've seen pride flags this openly revered? Where you've seen the real life equal marriage petition shared as a qr code?They earned the respect of the Thai lgbtq+ community for that scene alone and even if you want to get into the semantics of whether it's bl or lgbtq it doesn't change the fact that there was more representation in that one scene alone than 40+ bls.

You can't deny the fact that straight women fetishize gay relationships, not all but a lot. It's present everywhere. Why do you think Thailand is producing 94 bls this year?? Why do male kpop groups have so many gay delusional ships, that even when one person of a famous ship is publicly dating a woman it's suddenly a cover up? Why do fans of bl start shipping the actors of it to such points of delusion that they'll attack any woman who could possibly be a real life love interest? Why do one direction fans still think Harry Styles is for sure gay for Louis when he's publicly dating Olivia? Why do videos with specific 'BL' in their title get more views? I could go on and on.
If you like watching bls well and good but you can't be blind to all the fetishism that does exist. Again most of it may not be conscious or malicious but it exists.
That's why more lgbtq+ people should be brought in to participate in the storytelling and on screen in future bls, that's how you actually benefit or help the community.

If you read my reply I said I love this directors movies and she only makes lgbtq+ movies. I watch dramas/series/movies who's topics and plots interest me. I am not against bls and bl fans, I am against those bl fans or people who fetishize bls to the point that they see importance only in that. Also the ones who think these bls are in any way an accurate representation of
lgbtq+ relationships. We have to agree that recently that there has been a huge influx in this 'genre' because there is a dedidcated fanbase for it.

Yok fell in love already there is no argument and it was pretty much a first sight thing.
