If you really pay attention to the novel,the relationship between him and his master more like hate n love,it is true he blinded his master,but he clearly said to simu he never hate his master because he treated him well… when they met,he kowtow to his master and thanks him for teaching him martial art and war tactic…the relationship between two are complex, so can not said he hate

Duan xu never kill his master in the novel,he actually like him since he is good to him,he only save han ling qiu then ask simu to help him run away…. Do they purposely weaken duan xu to highligh other?,this is kill simu and duan xu characters…While i love strong fl,i hate it if they
disgustingly
Weaken the ml,left him as a dude in distress who need saving and become the burden for the fl

I tell you what happen in the novel… firstly,simu never kill human to save duan xu,duan xu called her but she only help him run away,that’s all,no killing whatsoever from her part….. second,simu never imprisoned by yanke…. Third,there separation part in the novel,but only for one year,and that’s simu’s decision since she afraid duan xu will be indispenseble for her,and afraid she will be heartbroken while he died,so she left her,but they reconciled after one year

So you already guess it,this is actually what i want to know how to present it in the drama,this is when i will know if they choose to disgustingly weaken duan xu or keeping his highlight

I think because you only feel he is an ordinary human and just 19 yo,but he is more than that,but let’s see how it will develop in the later eps,then hope we can talk again

If the he keep being like this,then it’s good,but i read somewhere they changed the script and give some redemption for him,showing he loves simu more then power,i seriously hope it is not true,seem so ooc imo

He is obsesses with her,but he loves power more than her,this is state in the novel,i feel he loves her also is way to gain more power

Actually this is very sad, c ent always give actor more screentime just because they have popularity,even when they are ruining the story in the process… yk actually only minor role in the novel,he loves simu but not so obsessed like in the drama,he loves power more

Cp 3 not in the novel,so idk what will happen,but cp 1 and 4 both have happy ending,sadly cp no 2 has tragic end 😢

But i don’t say arthur not suitable for duan xu,i feel no one can play it better than him,only sad why the y don’t use his character full potential in the drama

I’m not complaining about feiyu here,i like him and i know he has great acting skill….but i also feel sad since they don’t use duan xu full potential in the drama especially in the void,which is a shame since we know what arthur can do,as evidence in eps 8

I understand you want to watch the drama first… but after that,i hope you can read the novel and maybe you will understand why we are complaining here.. there are so much about duan xu,and they don’t use his full potential here,i hope they do justice for him later in the eps,though i don’t hope much…you know it yourself,c drama lately has an habit to disgustingly weaken the ml only to highlight the fl or others

I get it what you trying to said…i feel they intentionally weaken him in guixu arc to highlight the other character,duan xu actually too smart in the novel..it is really a waste since we know what the actor can do as evidence in human realm arc,but the director did not use his full potential here

Same with me,imo he did enough romance,he need to change his direction

Imo he did enough romance and must trying to do other genre like wuxia or mystery,it will be good if he can get ml centric.. if he want to do romance,i hope he can try a more mature romance set in workplace,but imo doing romance all the time actually not good for his career growth because it’s like he is confine in it
But he said he not choose his next project,i wonder if he want to concentrate in movie for now

So it is not s+ level drama? But the production quality really great,like what expected in gjm drama,cinematography,editing,and fighting scene are great
