He never has spiritual power or save the fl,or being a strong egoistical one,but can help her in some way using with his own resorfulness,this is clearly display in the novel…and the ml already save by the fl many times,more than in the novel,what’s wrong with showing him using his ability to help the fl just one? The drama already removed his biggest highlight and gave it to other random chara in eps 35,just for the sake to give more screentime to other character?this is actually his chance to help the fl just once…. I can not
say what will
happen next since the story already deviated so much from the novel from eps 32,i wonder if they will show in the drama why the sword chosen him ,other than for exchanging five senses in the drama,or just
leave it as it is and
become the
biggest plot hole?

Feiyu and sun qian had promoted 1970 on their weibo from time to time during airing,they also doing livestreaming,and also attended hello saturday to promote it… i don’t think they want to save up promotion for lbtg since the drama from different producer, there isn’t offline promotion for lst70 but maybe that’s the decision from tencent and the producer,nothing to do with lbtg,and it’s normal for actor to air their one after another…. But yes i think lsti1970 will be one of the best drama in 2026,even now already top 1 on cvb from all dramas airing on q1,idk what will happened with lbtg,seem not doing well in china

1970 got high rating on cvb ,this the most important for period drama aired on cctv,and 1970 has been achevive more than that,also top many charts during airing,which impressive… it does not overshadow by lbtg in china,1970 bring feiyu’s popularity further by gaining general public and mainstream audiences,more than just internet buzz from idol drama… i think this is the most important part

Actually i never see they are as dominant and submissive,they are equal in their relationship…it is not like he follow all simu want from him,and though simu has power,she never try to dominate him when they are already a couple

Good to see simu portrayed as powerful as in the novel,but my problem is why they have to render the ml as worhtless in the drama while the fl already so powerful? In the novel he is a human,but he can hold himself better than this,not always needing the fl to save him,simu never kill human just because of him,here they render him as so useless so far

Idk how far they follow the novel since latest eps actually deviated too much in the drama,but in the novel,the kid actually become the next ghost king,replacing simu,because simu choose to live as a human with duan xu

But do you see if duan xu in the drama has strong sense and responsibility as a general who is resolute and unwavering to acclaim the 17 prefects,same with with simu for her world? Or he just lost from time to time and put more important for chasing simu,neglecting his duty? In the novel his love for simu and his dream are equally important,because this also his redemption,he can not stop,even for simu…..but even the drama made simu killed human for duan xu,out of her anger,seem so ooc for me,i feel the only purpose just to give more screentime for other character

If you really pay attention to the novel,the relationship between him and his master more like hate n love,it is true he blinded his master,but he clearly said to simu he never hate his master because he treated him well… when they met,he kowtow to his master and thanks him for teaching him martial art and war tactic…the relationship between two are complex, so can not said he hate

Duan xu never kill his master in the novel,he actually like him since he is good to him,he only save han ling qiu then ask simu to help him run away…. Do they purposely weaken duan xu to highligh other?,this is kill simu and duan xu characters…While i love strong fl,i hate it if they

Weaken the ml,left him as a dude in distress who need saving and become the burden for the fl

I tell you what happen in the novel… firstly,simu never kill human to save duan xu,duan xu called her but she only help him run away,that’s all,no killing whatsoever from her part….. second,simu never imprisoned by yanke…. Third,there separation part in the novel,but only for one year,and that’s simu’s decision since she afraid duan xu will be indispenseble for her,and afraid she will be heartbroken while he died,so she left her,but they reconciled after one year

So you already guess it,this is actually what i want to know how to present it in the drama,this is when i will know if they choose to disgustingly weaken duan xu or keeping his highlight

If the he keep being like this,then it’s good,but i read somewhere they changed the script and give some redemption for him,showing he loves simu more then power,i seriously hope it is not true,seem so ooc imo

Cp 3 not in the novel,so idk what will happen,but cp 1 and 4 both have happy ending,sadly cp no 2 has tragic end 😢

But i don’t say arthur not suitable for duan xu,i feel no one can play it better than him,only sad why the y don’t use his character full potential in the drama

I’m not complaining about feiyu here,i like him and i know he has great acting skill….but i also feel sad since they don’t use duan xu full potential in the drama especially in the void,which is a shame since we know what arthur can do,as evidence in eps 8
