This is a very beautiful story. I'm still on episode 7 but I don't think I'll be ready for the ending.
This is a drama whose the main plot is easy to predict but you will still be curious and craving for it. And by guessing and imagining the future plot, from the scene currently being seen it will make you easily cry.
Happens in every C-drama and many, many works of fiction, actually. I think viewers sometimes take things like…
There are many ways to write a set story setting, but the director visualizes it stupidly.
At least they could give the set something to cover with a wall or whatever. They chatted casually in front of the gate. The only obstacle is a small transparent hut. Not an ordinary gate but the main gate of the fortress, not even a gate in the middle of a busy city, this is called stupid.
Nehh, I very rarely see Chinese dramas with directing this stupid. Except in short dramas.
The Forced Modern Comedy Element make this drama a bit unreal.
The writing and directing of the character ML who is a king but with excessively cute acting in the Saeguk drama makes it cringe.
Luckily that only happens in comedy scenes. His behavior becomes normal again in serious and pure romantic scenes.
The first three episodes really gave me goosebumps watching the characters written like that. And luckily that kind of writing and directing decreased after that.
Let's be honest.. i can't be the only one who think she's ugly, right? Objectively speaking and subjectively too…
In terms of her not being prettier than other FLs, I agree. She doesn't even meet the standards of women I like physically.
However, regarding whether her doesn't deserve to be FL then makes me not watch her drama. No, I don't agree. I even gave some of her dramas a rating of 10/10.
Writing, Plot, Presentation and Acting in drama have the biggest role in whether the drama is good or not.
Characterization in drama can even make a handsome actor look ugly, an actor with ordinary looks becomes attractive.
This is actually a drama with a very heavy "Theme".
But, Hold on.
This is a Rom-Com drama!. How could that be?
This drama takes a humorous route to explain mental illness. However, with the humorous and witty tone of the story, there is hidden sadness and suppressed emotions in the layers of the story.
Like a human who goes out wearing a mask to meet other people. This drama uses a mask of cheerfulness to tell the story of sadness and the hardships of mental disorders.
Because of this storytelling technique, the layers of the scene between sad and happy have almost no boundaries. Emotions change quickly even within one scene.
And even though this is a Rom-Com Drama. This is clearly an "adult drama" not in terms of "age" but "mentally". You must to go through several points of events mentally in your lives. At least to enjoy this drama "meaningfully".
Wow, such a journey.
Its drama from 10 years ago. But I dare to say, this is the best healing drama. Oh wait minutes, 10 years ago there was no such thing as "healing" term.π
No the buget is not pathetic, they only have 40 episodes to air the drama.
There are so many ways to "expose" the mystery of a story in a movie/drama.
The director chooses almost 90% using "dialogue" rather than "visually" that's why many people find it difficult to follow the storyline of the drama when watching it and that's also why I "suspect" the budget is small because "dialogue" is the cheapest way to unfold a mystery.
Super cute and funny, and worth a watch, but it had a few issues...One, the 5th prince is straight up the victim…
Yes, making all the male characters look like losers except ML in a patriarchal environment felt very unreal to me when I watched it. And the ones they downgrade are not just any men, but royal princes. It seems very dreamy in my opinion.
And most scenes about feminism are mostly just statements and dialogue. Like listening to a very uninteresting lecture.
I personally have no problem with feminist messages in dramas or films. But at least do it with a visual approach, not just dialogue.
One good example is the drama Blossom in Adversity. The drama is a "large" gorup of women, but their struggles and strength are felt on screen without seeming patronizing. They still have their own weaknesses but they are also strong.
Letβs be real here: the drama is off to a good start because the leads are actually ACTING, they are committed,…
Even dramas with bad writing and directing can be saved a little by good acting. Like the previous LXY drama In Blossoms which was greatly helped by his good acting.
From now on I crown them as a BDSM couple. Their love language is scratching, choking, biting, entangling, whipping while throwing here and there.π€£π€£π€£
But by today's Kdrama standards, clearly not.
However, I give a rating based on impressions and memories when I watched this Kdrama for the first time.
For today's audience, I really don't recommend watching Kdramas that are over 15 years old. especially since this drama is already 20 years old.

I need lots of tissues
It will be 10/10 drama on my list for sure.

The problem with Timeloops is the fear of boredom due to repetition.
What's more, this is a drama with 15 episodes, not a movie.
However, no.
One repeating day turns out to have different experiences and even sideplot themes. Even with a different tone of atmosphere.
Goodjob who wrote and produced this drama.
10/10 for the experience.
All the acting of ML, FL, 2ML are very good.
Both our's main characters have shown very good chemistry since the beginning.
The plot and directing are good and interesting with decent paced.
And last, This drama Have a good costume and cinematography (Seems to have a fairly large budget)
I hope its consistent till the ending.

And the worst of all is that they mostly explain the mystery with dialogue scenes. Is the budget so pathetic that it's not explained visually?
Luckily the love scene in this drama is an oasis between the tiring mystery scenes. Which makes me keep watching and finishing this drama.
Although, it's been almost a month and I've only been able to finish 20 episodes.π

Go straight to my Watchlist
However, in this drama it is shown unrealistically for a costume drama to an annoying level.
In fact, one of the important assessment points about a patient's mental health is how "aware" (Patient Insight) the patient know about their illness.
The worst score is when the patient is not aware of his illness even though we tell them.
