Can there really be a "happy ending"?, it's possible, especially when the writer decides the drama is over before tragedy strikes.
But not with this drama, because of its popularity in Korea, the production decided to add 1 episode and decided to continue the story until the tragedies appeared.
So my advice if you decide for a pseudo-happy ending, just stop watching at episode 16.
But I'm sure, its rare for someone to hold back their curiosity.

So it gives the impression that SML stole screen time at the end of the story.

So both ML and FL, SML, SFL even Minor Character in both drama have very decent acting. However, in terms of character writing, the characters in Princess Royal are written in more depth than Are You The One, even to the writing of the supporting character. But it is very understandable because are you the one is a romcom drama, what we expect?.
This drama has great plot potential but I really hate the writing which is stiff, soulless and dull.
This is actually a mystery drama, but because of the poor presentation and writing, it just feels like watching a cheap soap opera. All the patterns are shown clearly, so the audience doesn't have to bother guessing them.

I hate The King Injo so much, even after i read true history of him. He is very waek and uncapable king. And the biggest sin is how can he killed his son (Crown Prince).
Even if he disagrees a lot with his son he can demote him from crown prince and exile him. Of all the choices he had, he ended up killing him and didn't stop there, he also killed the crown prince's wife, her mother and brother. Exiling all his children to Jeju Island led to the deaths of many of his sons and daughters.
