Wu Lei - yes! Tian Xiwei - really? Dang but Im disappointed!
I just can't imagine anyone else playing the main character other than Wu Lei. Honestly, if Zhang Ruoyun was younger, he'd be my top pick but alas...
As for the female lead, I just can't picture Tian Xiwei as Ning Yao. That’s not to question her acting skills at all it’s more about the vibe she gives off and whether it fits the role.
If the rumor turn out to be true and Wu Lei is the main lead, you have nothing to worry about 👌
Actually, I am not worried about the casting at all. The thing is, this novel is still ongoing, so it hasn’t concluded yet. I'm pretty sure they'll make their own ending (or most probably they don't even end this properly rather end with the huge cliffhanger just like they did with btth). Except for a few C-dramas that adapted major IP novels, most adaptations have been trash at best.
On top of that, this novel is extremely slow-paced and philosophical, if they make it fast paced it'll loose it's core essence. Furthermore, every character is as important as the MC, and I doubt they have the ability to cast good actors for the supporting roles, let alone give those characters the attention they deserve.

Thanks for details.
That production team needs spanking! I hope he refuses the drama, heard that drama's plot is not accurate and the lines are incoherent and there are many inconsistencies with the the plot itself.
I'm actually really surprised why he and his team decided to confirm his next project this early.

Can you tell me how did you know that this stats doesn't include his Yanxi Palace and if it doesn't include Yanxi Palace so what about Lingjian Mountain?
A moving tribute and poignant tale of parental sacrifice and unconditional love. An epic saga that will move hearts and echo through eternity.
Current me probably can’t fully understand the depth of a parent's sacrifices, their silent struggles and the pain they hide behind their smiles. But I think when I grow older or reach at that point of my life, I’ll come to appreciate it all the more.
This genre (Life, Youth, Drama) is one of my absolute favorites, especially the Chinese ones, because the core essence feels different. This drama is filled with nostalgia and bittersweet moments. It'll make you reminiscent of your past, give you some prudence to think about your future, but be careful, it'll also make you feel like you missed something in life, some regrets.
That being said, this drama is brilliant. It evokes deep emotions in the audience and takes you back to your childhood, school days, and so on. The only issue I found was that the male lead became a bit immature after graduating from school, especially during his university life.
But again, it’s awesome. Watch this! The actors have performed their roles impeccably. I really liked the female lead and her character here.
I enjoyed this show, especially fight scenes, although some of them were over exaggerated. They (Ga Min & Hui Won) shared the same vibe, wished they had shown some romance between them.
He’s too good at making it feel real.
There might be some chances.
Hope they release this in India as well.
By the way, have you read the the Novel?

Zhou Ye, Lusi, Haocun? I mean who?
Sigh!
Why she has to be this much difficult. 😂

And I don't like mango at all.
I am not actively following him for past couple of months.
Sigh );
Many of you thinks he is not popular but honestly Industries knows his value.

I am currently watching it, and it's very good.
They (Ga Min & Hui Won) shared the same vibe, wished they had shown some romance between them.
Please don't adapt this masterpiece.
I don't want to be disappointed.
