The first arc is fantastic so its upsetting to compare. If the writer would have felt comfortable with Morr time then they should really have split this in 2
I feel like there were a lot of comedic scenes we didnāt need to see to make time for that character building that was cut out. I the first arc of the show doesnāt feel unbalanced with the comedy but the second part does. The scenes with the emperor are particularly unnecessary or longer than they need to be for the sake of comedy. This sort of story would have certainly benefited from focusing on the seriousness of the main plot line while keeping a few funny moments here and there. There were too many scenes that needed buildup we didnāt get just for us to get the emperor instead.
If I didnāt watch the episodes myself, I would have thought because of many comments here, that Chang Yu grew two heads instead of just a more stubborn backbone. Thereās certainly some development thatās missing and we didnāt get to see but it isnāt that bad š
yeah, she asked for ALL his libraries as betrothel gift ... poor Gongsun no re-reading...

I skimmed the novel a bit and didnāt see any story about the leads having twins, but Iāve seen in the chat that they apparently did. Where can I read about this part?
I wonder who will be held responsible for this. Netflix will not be happy
Ooh. Okay. But, won't the production company already have received pay for having their show distributed by the other platforms? Or does that happen after

Tough so far, Tian Xi Weiās acting is phenomenal, and she makes everything believable. When she saw General He knelt there, I really could have been there with her in that moment. No expression ever out of place or questionable.

I particularly have an issue with the scene where Yuan Hai comes to get Qian Qian. I have a big gripe with that scene. I knew a commander was following behind her for protection, but that many men? on horses? And even if there were that many men, wouldnāt they be more scattered around the forest to prevent her from noticing them? I can find a reason that it happened like this, but the fact that I can question it so strongly makes me feel that it was poorly executed.
The next shot was of Changyu and Qian Qian sitting and talking. The shot simply cut to them, and that may have been fine, but the position of the camera was too close up, imo. It felt like someone had said to them, āSit here now, weāll film both of you talking.ā The natural progression of events/scenes was lacking in episode 29.
In contrast, 30 doesnāt really suffer from the same choppiness and is pretty good. The show also doesnāt let us see enough about the armyās plans or formations. They cut too many parts out that would have really beefed up the believability of the story. After Huai An was hurt and out of the battle, there were too few people running with her back into the city. Of course, her 4 buddies and maybe a few others? But too few others. They were much more just after Huai An was knocked out. Then, that scene with Xie Zheng and Prince CH in ep 29, too. Awful. Simply a travesty. I have no words.
Iāve noticed this choppiness before, and it will definitely affect my rating of this.
My girl Chang Yu has suffered, and thereās Yuan Hai playing everyone, especially his brother, like a string. I almost felt sorry for him. But I couldnāt because, Mandiā¦Mandi was so young. I wouldnāt have let him come with me if I were Changyu. But I know that if it hadnāt been him, then it would be someone else. War is a terrible thing.
Itās okay for Huai An to be angry. I know the General was like a father to him. Though I still think he would have died if he kept going.
