If the softer part Ye Xian could come out more consistently like it did when he picked up ātheirā cat, he would be such a great person. Thereās a good person in there but itās buried pretty deepš I just hope he doesnāt end up a villain because when I look at him I just see so much potential. Not as her partner of course. Not since he hit her. I just relate so much to someone who is trying to find their footing and canāt figure it out. But he really makes such bad choices and is so stubborn headed that if he finds redemption, itāll probably come at a really high price. When you canāt take care of yourself, you cant take care of someone else.

hmm, I really didnāt feel like that, personally. They did have tough times a lot but the good moments were really good too. The book does start with their childhood though so a good part of it happens while theyāre kids. Just good to know

I read the original book this was adapted from and really loved it so much. I went through a few episodes of this and noticed that they changed small things here and there that ultimately made many things seem a bit more childish and less impactful. The scene of him finding her in Hongkong vs how it happens in the book and the issue about their fake baby too really show the issue. The way it happens in the book is far more grounded and keeps the characters more interesting imo. Itās almost like they kept the object of the events that happened in their lives but changed how it happened completely. Theyāre small things, but change how the characters seem so I donāt even know why they were changed. After thinking about it though, the writers mustāve thought being more dramatic would be more fun for tv. The show has lovely cinematography though and the actors are very good. I just love the story a lot so I want to yap about it a bit. The book is so good. I wish I had the downloadable epub version of the English translation so I could have a copy for myself.
His acting here is fantastic. He brought the character to life 10/10. I think there are some voice acting parts that could have been less in your face. That and a few pacing issues. thatās it. those are the only things I felt needed to have been done better. Thier son has his motherās attitudeš heās treating him like he used to treat her. poor kid already understands the program. storytelling wise, this show is superior to many others. Iām so sad about Fang Yin though. her poor husband is devastated. why did someone have to dieš I wish I could give this show an 8.7 directly. an 8.5 doesnāt do it enough justice in the face of other shows that are 8.5 and a 9 might be too high in terms of expectations ā¦ it was pretty exciting nonetheless the romantic storyline didnāt come out from nowhere imo and I think that considering the charactersā personalities, it wasnāt unbelievable.
