Surprisingly enjoyed this a lot. That’s also because I didn’t take it too seriously.
Separated the characters actions in resolving their issues from what I thought would be better personally so it wasn’t so bad. Watched it for the simple fun of this sort of show

I read it on dramanovel and had no chapters titled like this. the chapters on dramanovel about them just shows when they promised to be married later and then later, when she was leaving with her sister and he told her not to forget. Are these the events in these chapters or is there more? if it’s different, could I have the link please?

As someone from a country with similar rigid cultural hierarchy and structure, that’s him trying to be diplomatic. In such a country, it doesn’t help to just speak directly. The fire becomes bigger and bigger and that would be okay if you’re ready to start a big fight. But since that’s not the case he’s saying he doesn’t exactly agree but what can you do? You’ve just got to move forward. If you don’t ass kiss a bit everything just goes to hell😭

they couldn’t keep the quality, pace, flow and consistency they started with. I wonder why that happened.
After finishing, I don’t think 40 episodes was too little. There were so many scenes they could have cut to keep more impactful scenes that would build the story better. Like what was the point of Changyu’s friend’s crush on her? pointless.
I rated it really well because the cinematography is seriously fantastic and impressive and I grew attached to the characters, which is a skill because some shows cant get you to care about the characters either.

I was so sad about the prime minister😭 how unfair it all ended up being. how could the old King suck so bad, and how could Grand Tutor Lo be such a damn loser? what a fool. I was really sad when I heard how he ended up at the dark side. I wish he had told his nephew about it. What a misunderstanding.
But I don’t really understand why he had to bear all those crimes? Why couldn’t even his life be saved? The real culprit, wasn’t it the old King and grand tutor Li???

What I’d like to see is Bao’er and Inning. A small story about when they see/visit each other as kids, how their relationship develops and when he later comes to propose. I’m so curious. I want to see how the whole wedding goes down. That would be so fun.
I wish the author wrote about that at least but what’s in the book about them is in the show too.
