Title Shadow
A first bl drama that actually represented queer properly. Dan is gay and he is in the closet.
Actually, I was wrong. It seems like Dan did have some feelings for Cha-aim, but he valued his friendship more. He didn’t want to jeopardize his relationships with everyone else, especially Josh, who liked Cha-aim too. Dan thought Josh could take better care of her, since Dan was already struggling with his own issues. He might have unintentionally led Nai on and agreed to be his date out of kindness. He probably didn’t want to hurt Nai’s feelings after he failed to reciprocate his kiss, which could have been seen as a rejection.Nai had been very supportive of Dan, and this was the least he could do for him.

Can you please spoil me with a few details, since I want to know whether to avoid starting this drama. I hate…
His character development was poor in the webtoon. He seemed more like a follower than a leader, but I prefer his portrayal here.He was actively involved in helping the female lead and had a life outside of her. He died in a car accident and not by suicide, which made more sense. In the webtoon, he killed himself over his crush, which was illogical given his business background. People in his position don’t usually do that, so they failed to depict his business environment realistically. Business people are supposed to be more strategic and rational.

in episode 10 I thought it confirmed mutual feelings with the kiss, holding hands and date to the dance but then…
Dan is hiding his sexuality, and his situation leaves him no room for romance. However, he seems to harbor some feelings for Nai.

Review Shadow
The school priest’s insistence on forgiveness is a realistic portrayal of how some religious settings operate. Nai’s trust in Dan is understandable, given that they both have similar conditions, but I wish their friendship had developed more gradually. It seemed too convenient that Nai was drawn to Dan without knowing anything about him, and that they coincidentally had the same condition. It would have been more convincing if they had shown how Nai saw the shadow haunting Dan or felt the ominous presence, and that sparked his interest. This is an example of lazy writing. Another flaw is the way Josh’s interest in horror was introduced. I get that they wanted to show that Josh is a horror fan and that’s why he was willing to believe Dan, but they only established this in episode 1 and when Nai mentioned it to Dan. It would have been better if they had shown how Josh used his knowledge of horror to help Dan, or how he had heard of similar cases to Dan’s and was curious about them. That would have made his belief in Dan more plausible.

For anyone curious, this is -not- a BL, but rather a supernatural thriller.
It is a bl, both main leads are gay and they have feelings for each other.

He was still a minor, not even 18 years old. Do you know how the Korean age system works? It is different from the international age system that most countries use. In Korea, people are considered one year old at birth, and they add one year to their age every New Year's Day. This means that someone who is 18 in Korea might be 16 or 17 in other countries. Age-gap relationships can be problematic and unethical, especially when there is a large power difference between the partners. I think people should be careful about dating someone who is much older or younger than them, as it could lead to exploitation or manipulation.
