You are harming the queer community by adding pedophilic elements that will increase the discrimination that gay people already face in South Korea. It is not straight-washing because there is no romance and you cannot assume someone’s sexuality, it is 2024. The novel was based on the movie which had straight characters (it had romance), so the original story was straight, but the novel made it worse by introducing pedophilic elements.

it doesn’t matter if the Prince had a legal order or a clear reason to kill and rape the heroine. He still committed horrible crimes that cannot be justified or forgiven. I also don’t buy the idea that she was in love with him before he did those things, or that she would fall for him again after going back in time. That sounds like Stockholm syndrome, not true love. I think the story is messed up because it romanticizes abuse and violence, and I don’t find that appealing or entertaining.
