I binge watch my shows. I've watched most of the popular C-dramas all on binge. By that point I'm starting to have drama withdraw and started to slow down. ADOS is an exception. I have a WeTV VIP and saw it was coming up and watched the trailer. Then watched the first two episodes. It's been awhile since I've been so sucked in by the chemistry between leads. But I still have trouble dealing with angst, since I'm a romantic. So I usually just skip ahead. Can't do that for an ongoing series.
Okay this is just a self fulfilling theory and analysis. Some described WRTW as a political drama with love as…
He is probably still recoverying from being injured/poisoned during the boat fight. He's not healing properly since him and Pan'er have a falling out and dealing/coming to terms with the complicated relationship with his family. He's not resting easy, for sure.
They gonna break up around 30-31. It's hinted that it might have been Pan'er who dumped GQF. It's probable that…
That's what turns a drama that could've been a 8.5-9 down to a 7. Because of the 360 turn in the second half. And typically a rushed ending. WROT, which I still haven't finished, has such an ending I hear. Even Ming Lan which is currently 8.9 I think, still kind of had a rushed ending. But that shit was 73 episodes.
Qing Qing Zi Jin is another one. Like the girl leans martial arts, but then at the end gets captured by a normal dude. Like wtf.
I just need the ending to make sense with how the story has been told so far. It should make sense and not be a freaking 180/360. It should be consistent. With the way this story is going, it'll be a happy one. Just the question is if it will be rushed. Which again could ding the enjoyment factor. Please give me a wedding and post marraige scene..i'd cry.
I had a friend that lived in Japan for a while. I once asked him about why their shows/movies always have an ambigious/sad ending. He told me that that feeling of almost getting something, but can't... they LOVE... that feeling.

My hope is that the leads break up but legit just keep missing each other. The romance is the strong point in the drama, not the business or politics. I think it'll be overcome tastefully, but I always skip angst.

My understanding for why this keeps happening is because of the audience they are catering to. For whatever reason, I think the Chinese community loves this angst shit. That's why it's always included in just about every single drama. It's a cop out way to extend the episodes longer while tossing in drama.
Western audience just like happy endings, where Eastern audience are more on the ambigious/sad side. We just have different feelings and tastes.
Maybe the director/writer will surprise me. There has been a few tropes already so it's no surprise why there is going to be a blood feud one.
What the director/scriptwriter has done well so far though is addressing the tropes. I've been pleasantly surprised so far on how they have been handled. They are logical and reasonable. Like O, Pan'er is insecure and can't trust another man. She overhears that everything is fake. Let's have an adult talk about it and here are my Deeds and keys. It didn't drag for like 10 episodes where like the GQF doesn't tell her shit, and then Chen Lian has to explain shit to her, and then she gets she was wrong. That stuff drives me nuts. We'll see.

lol ooops. Yinzhang does get with blue aggressive guy. I don't think it'll last long though. She just needs to get through the initial shock she felt after finding out her sisters hid shit from her, and GQF is with Pan'er.
What I love the most from WRTW (Who Rules The World) is that in the first half of the series they tell the stories…
Okay this is just a self fulfilling theory and analysis.
Some described WRTW as a political drama with love as a subplot. ADOS is way more romance centered. At least for the first half. That's what attracted most people in the first place I feel. I mean it's an idol drama with the leads being super stars in China. The thing that made this drama so good was the interactions between the leads. The business aspect was just sort of a subplot in the first half.
With the second half everyone is back to square one, but with a new perspective. Remember your original dreams and aspirations. If the second half keeps the romance between the leads high, even though they are seperated, it'll probably be fine. I don't think the political intrigue and business is what people enjoyed the most. If anything, it's just the sisters being badasses. The leads and their character development is what sold the shows for most.
Pan'er wants to be an independant woman but started to be too reliant on GQF. Now that they break up, she reverts back to the real reason she wanted to stay in the Capital. Be self reliant and become a successful business owner without the help of a man.
Sanniang is a little bit of everything. She wants to be strong and successful. She wants to be reunited with her son one day and show off how amazing and classy she is. She is there to continue to support Pan'er as a good friend. Also, to find a suitor for herself. She hasn't given up on love.
Yinzhang wants to become the best Pipa player and earn the respect of everyone in the Eastern Capital. Up until the second half keeps relying on men to help her resolve her issues (her ex, GQF, and agressive blue guy). She doesn't think for heself and remain in her bubble. She'll wake up in the second half.
GQF. His whole world has been turned upside down. Now that he has accomplished his goal of getting the conferred title for his mom, he is sort of at a lost. The person he trusted the most also betrayed him. He needs to find out what he wants to do with the rest of life. If I had to guess, he probably wants to take down his Uncle and support Pan'er fully. Can't do that until he takes care of the situation with his family, which he has neglected his whole life.
Here's my theory on the breakup and them getting back. Pan'er dumps GQF as a reaction. I mean how can you look at the face of the son of the father who murdered your father. Totally understandable. It doesn't have anything to do with not loving him anymore. She needs her space. In the meantime, she opens her restarant because she remembers her original goal for staying in the Capital. The seperation just makes her yearn for GQF even more. She never hated him, it's just he reminds her of the terrible past. GQF in the meantime is trying take down his Uncle, while protecting Pan'er at the side. It's all he can do, since she doesn't want to see his ass. Word probably gets out that GQF was captured/died. In the end while remembering all their past interactions and love for each other they meet by chance and reunite. They get married in the final episodes.
It semi-bursted as of ep 25-26. She finally realized that GQF was looking at Pan'er the whole time. She saw the…
Haha fuck no. Im gonna give Pan'er more credit than that. If I had to guess it's more like an emotional response to finding out the man you love family had something to do with your family's death. It'd be hard to look at them without being reminded. I don't think it has anything to do with not loving anymore.
For the comic relief guy Pan'er just partners up. She will probably her whole life only continue to love GQF. It's hinted the comic relief guy will develop a crush on Pan'er though, but we know GQF ain't gonna let that happen.
GQF is fucked in the head right now too. He's being betrayed left and right and his whole ideology is being pushed to the brink and on top of that he's no longer with the love of his life. Everyone hitting rock bottom.
But then because of all the past interactions between the characters they gonna work together to resolve all their difference.
I still want a grand fucking wedding. I hope to see it.
So basically after episode 26, everything goes downhill? I suppose I'll watch through 26 and then wait for y'all…
They gonna break up around 30-31. It's hinted that it might have been Pan'er who dumped GQF. It's probable that GQF's family may have had something to do with the death of Pan'er's father. She probably couldn't accept it. If I had to guess, they won't get back together til between 33-36. I'm really hoping 33 but probably later. I don't like too much angst. I almost always skip past to find out what happens. ADOS will probably not be an exception. After all the crap they've been through for them to break up cause of a blood feud. I get it, but yuck. I know this is probably to give Pan'er and co. their time to shine with only themselves to run their restaurant. GQF will probably be helping her from the shadows though and Chen Lian will continue to play cupid. I'll watch the previews next week. kekw.
I know that the seperation is going to make their bond stronger and they are going to miss each other dearly, but it's just counterintuitive since they promised to marry and had all that romance just to break up cause of an issue. I get stuff happens, but yeah.
YZ def has a big mouth and the Gao old fart; yuck! But the Z girl who is now part of their rag-tag family is pretty…
It semi-bursted as of ep 25-26. She finally realized that GQF was looking at Pan'er the whole time. She saw the couple hugging and Sanniang slipped that GQF and Pan'er are engaged. She legit didn't know the whole time. On impulse she makes another mistake.
GQF's father is crying out "QianFan." His brother says "Help", followed by "Murder." Pan'er is saying "Get out…
Doesn't seem like it. That won't be the big issue though I feel. Cause it looks like GQF has decided to end the relationship with uncle. Implying he might help his dad. Problem is what his brother in law finds out investigating GQF and Pan'er.
I haven’t started this yet, I am really hoping this was going to be tropey nonsense free, the clips I have seen…
It's been good so far, but they are really pumping up the angst in the 2nd half. Decisions they never would've made in the first half. All the sudden out the window. I'm sure it'll be fine in the end. But I will skip through it when all the episodes air. I just want to see the ending at this point.
Can someone tell me if the picture in the airing schedule above episode 35-36 is wedding bells? That's the only clue I can't figure out.
I hope when they break up it's just the writer and director just hoodwinking us and Pan'er and GQF just both decided to pretend to break up in secret for whatever reason. I'd find it really hard to believe all of this romance just for them to have a breakup trope. Ugh.
They had to bust out the trope. GQF probably left for her protection. I don't see Pan'er dumping him over the…
He is probably still recovering from the injuries he receieved from the assasination attempt on his father. He gets wounded bad. I don't think they will reconcile quickly this time. It'll be a few episodes til Pan'er finally understands why he did what he did. Actually, I think there will be an arc where she thinks he dies.
I've seen the new trailer. 31-32. Gu qian fan what was happening?!?! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ what was that!?! Duh yinzang is…
They had to bust out the trope. GQF probably left for her protection. I don't see Pan'er dumping him over the blood feud between their familities. I don't think they'll get back together until the following week too :\ That means marraige for the last few episodes.
Can we talk about how daft Yinzhang really has to be to not see that Qianfang likes the FL ?!! lol LOL hehehehhehe…
I'm fully convinced this was the director trying to show how naive Yinzhang is. I think we get more flashbacks and inner monologues from her than even Pan'er. The stuff she is thinking is like WTF? Like we as the audience knows what the hell is going on, but Yinzhang is clearly in her bubble. We see what GQF is looking at, but all Yinzhang is looking at is GQF. It's just super innocence. Clearly everyone else including Zhaodi figured it out what's up. Yinzhang is legit in her own world and see's things different. Her thought process is also just different. Like the BGM that is played when she is in her bubble day dreaming is usually dreamy and romantic and not like evil.
There's gotta be a pay out for us as the audience. It's building up to it. Each episode she is getting more vocal about her thoughts instead of just inner monologues. I thought she was boss when she stood up for GQF during the birthday dinner. Best moment for me so far for her character development. I knew right away she was going to play the score GQF had given her.
She's really a good girl and won't betray her sisters. But ahhh you just want her to wake up already.
Qing Qing Zi Jin is another one. Like the girl leans martial arts, but then at the end gets captured by a normal dude. Like wtf.
