I am sorry but they could almost pass for heterosexual couple, nowhere they look like a couple. I know I am getting…
I understand. I feel like the story itself is not very realistic which makes it hard to portray when you are not an excellent, professionally trained and really experienced actor. E. g., the character of A(da)chi doesn't even act like an adult man, he is very passive and usually just lets things happen to him without knowing what he actually wants. He is moved by Karan/Kurosawa's love for him but doesn't ask himself if he even loves him back. He rather falls for his love than for Karan/Kurosawa himself. And I feel like Karan/Kurosawa has a slight feeling of guilt that he is kinda "forcing" his love on A(da)chi (because he feels that A(da)chi isn't that attracted to him), that's why the relationship is progressing so slowly and awkwardly and may look frustrating. I think that the excellent Japanese actors (and maybe the director too) saved the unlikely story, that's why it worked. I don't say the Thai actors are bad but they are definitely better at portraying characters that are closer to their own nature. Moreover, IMO it is hard to transfer the story to the Thai culture because Thai people are way more emotionally expressive and straightforward than how the characters were written and how Japanese people generally are. Also, because of the shorter length of the Japanese series, every scene actually made the plot move forward and it didn't feel so dragged. I was worried about these things from the beginning and honestly expected this to be much worse than it actually is in the end.
Please bear in mind that this series was released 5 years ago. At that time there where weren’t many discussions…
I think it's rather about cultural differences. Unfortunately, many things that are unacceptable in the Western world are considered normal or funny in Asia. I couldn't watch it either.
Am I the only one not liking Jinta? I also didn't like Tsuge Masato 😭 Hoped that maybe he was gonna be more…
I absolutely agree. He is either too childish or acts like a grumpy old man. I haven't seen the latest episode though. Anyway, his character was more bearable in the Japanese version to me. He was more consistent and believable. In the Thai version, he is over-the-top and doesn't make sense. He is said to be a professional writer but sometimes acts as if he was mentally retarded. It looks weird because all the other characters look quite realistic compared to him. I don't understand why the creators decided to make his character like that when the rest is quite normal.
They didn't :/ I don't know who's to blame for that.
I get it. Thai dramas are usually chaotic, dragged and the acting and direction are usually not as good as in Korean and Japanese dramas. But I would say the Thai vesion of Cherry Magic is still better than most Thai series (although it has it flaws). Maybe it's because of the quality source material.

Do you know that there is now a Thai adaptation of the original story where there will most likely be real kisses (and maybe even more)? https://kisskh.at/743929-cherry-magic-thailand I still prefer the Japanese version but the Thai version isn't that bad either and many people even like it more.
How did they manage to take a plot that was so funny, entertaining, and romantic and turn it into a boring and…
You are entitled to your opinion. For me, the Thai version is not a complete disaster (actually, most Thai series are worse) but I prefer the Japanese version, as well. The actors were better at portraying emotions and and it didn't feel dragged. Also, the development of the second couple made more sense.
Any suggestions similar to this until I wait for the next 6 days ?
BL Drama no Shuen ni Narimashita: Crank Up Hen (I Became the Lead in a BL Drama: Crank up Edition), Old Fashion Cupcake, The New Employee, Star and Sky: Sky in Your Heart, Unintentional Love Story, Be Loved in House: I Do, About Youth, Bon Appetit, Cherry Blossoms After Winter, Choco Milk Shake, Love Class (season 2), Love Mate, My School President, Sing My Crush, Stay by My Side, Our Dating Sim, Semantic Error.
can anyone give me a spoiler what happens next as 6 episodes are left as I can't understand what will happen in…
I haven't read the manga but I watched the Japanese adaptation and based on that, I think that there will be problems with the fact that Achi haven't revealed that he had the mind-reading power to Karan yet. He will have bad conscience about that and will start to think that if he didn't have the power, they wouldn't get together with Karan (because sometimes he took advantage of the fact that he knew what he was thinking although he didn't hurt anyone). So he kinda starts to think he doesn't deserve him etc. There was a temporary breakup in the Japanese adaptation. The series will most likely also show the second couple getting together and overcoming some obstacles. In the Japanese adaptation, they slept together sooner than the main couple and then the writer had regrets that he couldn't read his boyfriend's thoughts anymore and was scared if he would be able to be a good partner to him and to keep him after that. That was also why he warned Adachi (here Achi) against losing the power which contributed to Adachi doubting his relationship with Karan and being afraid to proceed with that, as I mentioned above. But it Is a light-hearted series, so I think it won't be too brutal. The creators may also incorporate the plot of the movie (which is a sequel to the series) into this adaptation (it's basically about them preparing to getting married - proposal, introducing their partner to parents) and the wedding itself.
Sadly, I read that this was gonna be New's last BL drama and that he was gonna get married. But maybe it was just…
I don't remember it already. Maybe bere or on Instagram. But as I said, it can be a rumor. Anyway, I wish he is happy whether he continues acting or not. I hope people won't bully him if they find out he has a girlfriend.
if i be honest, this is not a bad watch for the ones who have not seen original cherry magic. but since i have…
I agree. It kinda looks like a drama club decided to recreate the original. The acting in Thai BL dramas is mostly much less professional because they usually cast beautiful boys from the street instead of studied actors. Moreover, A(da)chi is also very hard to portray in a non-embarassing way because he rather acts like a shy little girl than a grown man. But honestly, I expected it would be worse. At least the direction didn't make it too crazy and cringeworthy like Middleman's Love etc.
Based on the trailer I'm afraid it will be a disappointment. I don't understand why they made A(da)chi such a…
I also like TayNew but I don't know if the roles fit them, especially with this direction. New's acting is quite subtle but Adachi was a chaotic mess. We will see. At least I'm glad that there will be real kisses and maybe more...
