at least when they reached the parts of the manga where the Japanese drama didn't adapt since it was still serialising…
I think it's not their fault, the problem is rather in the direction and script. I can imagine the series would be even more cringeworthy with different actors. To me, GemFourth's acting is natural, the characters are just written and directed differently than in the Japanese version. Overall, the series looks like it was made in a hurry (which is most likely true). Now when we already had the Cinderella scene, I'm worried that they would drag the original plot as much as possible. I keep watching mainly for Fourth cute face LOL. I was hoping the quality of this remake would be comparable to the Thai remake of Cherry Magic but nope. The creators obviously invested more money, time and effort into Cherry Magic than to this.
I'm not someone that likes to compare, I enjoyed different types of remakes, but the problem I'm having with this…
I agree. It looks like it was made in a hurry which is most likely true because they needed to give GemFourth a BL drama after their roles were erased from 23.5.
I feel the same, Ãthe Japanese version is sooo good, not sure why did they make a remake so soon. Also I love…
TBH I am kinda glad it is a remake because recetly most of original Thai dramas are dumb AF. So, there is at least hope the story will make sense. The latest watchable Thai BL drama I can remember was Cherry Magic which was also based on a Japanese source material. The good thing is Thai series have higher budget and are longer, I just hope it won't feel dragged and that they don't add some meaningless scenes to that.
Does anyone have good bl suggestions because this was awesome and I really need to see another one to get over…
We Best Love (both seasons), The Eighth Sense, I Told Sunset about You and its sequel I Promised You the Moon, Cherry Blossoms After Winter, His, Life: Senjou no Bokura, Jack o' Frost, Love Is Better the Second Time Around (Koi wo Suru nara Nidome ga Joto), Perfect Propose, Love Class (both seasons), Old Fashion Cupcake, Blueming, Eternal Summer, Ai no Kotodama (the last two don't have a very good rating on MDL but I loved them). I tried to suggest the dramas that have a similar vibe as Unknown. If you don't care about the vibe, you can check my watchlist (https://kisskh.at/dramalist/9874437), I have almost exclusively BL dramas on it.
I think he's an alpha without any special powers? I wasn't aware there were regular humans in the show but maybe…
I heard that in the novel, he was just a regular person. I think it is not explicitely mentioned in the series but I guess he is supposed to be like that there, as well.
From what I understand, Myung Ha had actually died after meeting his mum as an adult (he walked into the sea).…
Thank you! It really helped me to understand the story although I am still a bit confused. Why do you think Tae Myung Ha had to choose between his grandma and his boyfriend at one moment? Why was it important for the plot development in your opinion?
I even discovered it on YouTube (some unofficial channel for sure). Just search for the name of the series there. I foundnd it more comfortable to watch it there because there are no ads there.
