It is still better than the novel (as I can guess from the summary and spoilers on YouTube) where they solve all misunderstandings with sex and Kuea allows Lian to manipulate him and just passively accepts everything Lian does to him. In fact, I am happy that in the series, Kuea did not surrender the pressure and did not accept the proposal. I am just angry at Lian that he put him into that situation.

I think I watched all of them, I just dropped HIStory2: Crossing the Line and HIStory3: Trapped which are paradoxically the most popular ones. I completed HIStory2: Right or Wrong, but I did not like it that much, although it is quite popular, as well. I liked HIStory3: Make Our Days Count and HIStory4: Close to You the most, even though those two are the most hated ones (the first one for a bad ending and the other one because of a rape scene). I also watched all stories from HIStory1, they are short compared to other seasons and I found them OK (nothing spectacular but not bad). Everybody has a different taste, so you probably should check the ratings and reviews on MDL and decide what you want to watch or just try everything. In fact, I realized that HIStory3: Make Our Days Count and HIStory4: Close to You are kind of connected because three characters from HIStory3: Make Our Days Count apper in HIStory4: Close to You but not as main characters.
