I think that Shane loved Johnathan and did not really love Carrie, he was rather flattered that such a cool and beautiful girl was interested in him and he was bisexual, so he used the chance to have sex with her. He thought he liked her but in fact, he just liked that she liked him. Maybe he had some internalized homophobia, too, so that's why he never fully admited he loved Johnatan. I think Carrie sensed it though and accepted it in the end, that's why she let them sort it out and did not meddle when they were at the sea. (Although Shane himself still did not fully accept his feelings to Johnatan). But there are many possible interpretations.

I agree. I really see the potential in that but was not executed the best way. Namely, it did not explain the motivation of the characters enough. But I was still waiting for every episode impatiently and rushed to watch it when it was out. It's definitely not the best BL drama ever and sometimes it was rather illogical but many other dramas made me feel much worse or bored me much more.

I heard in some Asian series they called each other "sis" but it looked weird here. So, it was only a bad translation in the end. Maybe there is the same word in Thai for "brother" and "sister" And the translator of the subtitles did not know his gender or IDK.

Of course, NC scenes are not everything but I really appreciate them when they're well done. I guess that it also depends on the viewer's age and maybe personality, as well.

It's not my favorite drama but it's the only series I've rewatched do far 🤷.
Just the last episode was unnecessarily dragged to create some "last minute drama".

The characters are here but played by different actors and it seems their story will not be much developed here.

It's just strange that at the beginning, there were NC scenes in this series but then as the relationship got serious, it was less and less. It should be the opposite - they already know they love each other and know each other better, so they should be more comfortable with sex than at the beginning of the relationship.
