For those who want the time travel part, I'll post this below. I read the leaked script for this part and basically this tiktok video does quite explain it. This could be wrong or not, but so far, those that were leaked did really happened

Yes, this one is a straight up time travel. Kind of like stuck in a time loop over and over again because LWY is trying to prevent JL from sacrificing himself

* The drought was triggered.
* JL sacrificed himself.
* LWY tried to change the past 26 times (from what I’ve read).
By the way, I’ve also read—though not in order and I’m not entirely sure about it—that WWY’s dream actually came true. It was part of their plan to kill JY. I’m not certain if it was really WWY or just a puppet (but I think it was just a puppet).
There are many things that happen, though I've read them out of order:
* JL dies but is resurrected.
* JY controlled LWY, and WSG tried to fight her but ended up dying as well.
* JL, together with the other demons, triggered time travel.
* JL went back in time to prevent LWY from being born, or perhaps to keep him from being controlled by JY.
* JL lost his dragon scale because of the time travel.
There were also parts where LWY discovered or saw JL’s previous life. Additionally, that talking doll actually holds LWY’s spirit or consciousness.

The dragon scale that JL ate when he was fox and because of that, he was able to gain a human form. It fed on his loneliness and somehwere along, it was what triggered going back in time. Remember in the trailer, in JL's face, he asked LWY, if she's willing to go back in time to save her love one
