no cuz soyeon is probs the most emotionally intelligent/ attractive one imo and the fact that no one has shown…
Might be her personality? She's definitely taking longer to open up than the other women in the house and tends to fade to the background when they all come together. Even during the dates the others always have to take the lead. You can tell that she hasn't dated for a long time or any women at all (she said this) and some don't vibe with that either.
I absolutely adore their chemistry, their tension, and eye contact, but the plot is frustrating, likely overcomplicated…
I felt like I was being gaslit when people tried to convince me anything remotely lesbian was going on. They could have a 20 second kiss in a dream, but not even one sentence that could confirm their love? There wasn't even any indication either of the characters were gay/bi. Typically that requires the characters to at least ponder over their sexuality (or some gay panic moment), but nothing like that ever happened, even after that queerbait dream.
The granny haircut the younger sister got was absolutely diabolical. I would sue. Can't even pass it off as ''French''... (shout out to my fellow Fleabag lovers).
Too much focus on the husband and the family. Similar in the way that the 'Fragrance you inherit' started to annoy me with the son. I do like that it's not just a will they/won't they like so many ''GL'' dramas/series, but the story basically being 'straight people learning to deal with the fact that there are lesbians around them' isn't really my cup of tea either. Won't stop watching, but throughout the entire episodes all I can think is ''Run Akari, Run!!''.... Like she said, she's the victim in this scenario. That said, she doesn't know how to stay away which isn't a very healthy way of dealing with this bullshit either haha. Why do they keep inviting one another to friend and family events anyway?? Like, who does that?
FYI, wavve has created an app called Lemon for international fans to watch the show, they said they'll drop EP…
Watched the first two episodes and the English subtitles are all over the place. I wanted to support to show and splash some cash their way, but if they can't even hire a proper person to translate, then why should I give them my money? Seems AI translated for sure.
Japanese entertainment companies have too much power. Contract violations must be dealt with accordingly, but no actor should be blacklisted for wanting to change agencies or starting a new one.
Glad she's been able to make a comeback. Her past company owning the copyright to her BIRTHNAME is fucking insane. Hopefully Japan can pass a law in the future to prohibit that sort of thing. Feels like a human rights violation.
Add the last episode wherein a high school girl successfully performed an operation. Like why do we even have…
They put a kiss in the promotional materials (teaser and trailer) that wasn't in the webtoon. Then it also turned out to be a dream that wasn't even touched upon again? That's bait, regardless of how you feel about the drama haha

Right? She was using that scalpel like she was cutting up some chicken. People make the claim that she had to do it because she didn't trust her father, but she wasn't even properly trained?? Like, her father would have been a way better choice, even with them not trusting him?? Got to suspense disbelief with this drama when it comes to the medical stuff (and the queerbaiting ;) ).
They literally kissed in the tub in that one episode, although I'm still not sure if that was just a dream, it…
I would have been less likely to call it queerbait if the dream wasn't included (and used as promo before the episode release), but its just odd to me that they can put a kiss (and a somewhat long one at that) in a dream, but they weren't able to give us any confirmation of actual feelings? Not even with a touch of the hand, a peck on the cheek, or anything that communicated it verbally?? That is why I have no issues with categorically calling it queerbait. The writers/creators knew what they were doing with all the ambiguity.

It was a dream and the textbook definition of queerbait. Never mentioned again as in the character didn't really question it, nor did it change their dynamic. It was used in the promo before the first episode was released and they didn't spoiler us that it was a dream, so it was pretty much used to trick the audience.
Whether people read something more into the dynamic of the characters or not, the creators left it ambigious on purpose with no confirmation of any genuine sparks flying between them. Hence why there was such a heavy focus on unhealthy obsessions and not actual love blossoming. All it needed was one little confirmation and they couldn't even do that. Sure, we could look at it from a different lens because it's ''korean media'' or whatever, but doesn't change the fact that the dream kiss and their little school festival date was bait to the max.
Real definition of queerbait:'
''The practice of incorporating apparently or potentially LGBTQ characters or relationships into a film, television show, etc., as a means of attracting or appealing to LGBTQ audiences, while remaining deliberately coy or ambiguous about the characters' sexuality; (more generally) the practice of trying to appeal to and capitalize on LGBTQ audiences or customers in a deceptive or superficial manner, while not alienating homophobic members of the audience or censors by actually portraying LGBTQ relationships.''
Started so well, but it's turning into mediocre bullshit—pathetic performance by side kicks and bad screenplay…
Honestly, the title never made sense to me. Also not when reading the webtoon. Their ''rivalry''/''competition'' subsided pretty early on and made way for a somewhat dysfunctional yet endearing friendship. The story mostly focused on the relationship between both girls and their achievements at school were barely mentioned towards the end.
Guess I'll just wait for GagaOOlala.
Why do they keep inviting one another to friend and family events anyway?? Like, who does that?
''Some of yall gay people annoying'' lmao ok.

Queerbaiting 101 lol
