I lost count of how many times they said goodbyes

This show has to have vertical drama writers. otherwise there is no excuse for the cheap decisions, solutions and overall quality of the script.
we have the same plot (ml saving fl) over and over again. to the point where is just not exciting anymore. a very brave fl that is unable to defend herself. makes the most unhinged decisions, doesn’t make any sense at all. her coming to the conclusion HE tried to kill her mom after everything he did is just poor writing.

you forgot her mom almost dying stressing about her fiancé? most people just forgot the part that the doctor told her mom have to avoid trouble and just live as calm as possible? she even come up with a lie to make her mom not worry about her and her fiancé…

you know, you can like the drama without justify ML actions? you can say it’s fictional, and even if is disturbing it’s touching some parts of your brain and you like it. But, what a can’t stand it woman empathizing, defending this man, and even going against FL.

it’s really hard for me to watch this, and I still want to watch it. But I HATE ML to the gut!! FL was a kind girl that was sucked into his darkness, to the point that she doesn’t want to live anymore…

the early spring is a breath of fresh air next to this one 😂

well, he just attempted to rape her for the first time. and yes. that’s. exactly. what. it. was. I want him to have a taste of his own medicine. i don’t even know if there is a way to redeem him… and it’s only ep 13😭

he doesn’t respect her, he forces himself and doesn’t know boundaries. don’t believe those people that can’t acknowledg that, they are seen through a rose-colored glasses. He’s 100% toxic, and it’s getting worse. it’s hard for me to watch, but I’m really hoping he’s going to pay a big price for his arrogance. I still think is worth watching, but you’ve been warned.

Im the minority that feels devastated when he forces his “love” into her. The scene last ep when he pressed her against the wall and used her fear of her fiancé finding out, made me so mad. when she cried my heart broke, because being treated like this is horrible, even if you have feelings for that person. the way he seemed to be enjoying her tears 😭 At the same time he protected her, and didn’t kiss her while sleeping. how crazy is that?

He doesn't know how! This whole "if you want something, you have to fight for it" mentality is the only way he knows. Care, gentleness, compassion... he doesn't understand much about any of that. Even though his mom is great, he was raised by a father who left him to die on the battlefield.

Remember that scene with his brother-in-law? He says he doesn't know how to take care of flowers, then proceeds to touch one, only for a petal to fall off. It's obviously a metaphor for the way he loves. He doesn't know how to nurture something, only how to take it.

After episodes 11 and 12, I can actually see the FL starting to fall for the ML. There’s obviously conflict between them, but you can see that his actions are starting to make room for him in her heart. Who wouldn’t be impressed by someone who got stabbed in front of everyone while protecting you?

But since we already know what’s coming, ML will probably blow all his chances of her actually falling in love with him. He’s going to force her, corner her, and make her hatred for him outweigh any feelings she might have been starting to develop.

It’s going to be very interesting to see how they’re going to handle all this passion, hatred, and how their relationship it’s going to move forward

I don’t think he has it in him to be softer, gentler, or more patient. I think he’s going to push her to her breaking point, and only then will he realize what he’s done and maybe change. We all know he’s going to trap her 😭

Im sorry but is quite the opposite! they make it look like this way to increase our perception of ML intelligence. It was not a “dumb” mistake l. You had to be really good with details to realize it.

I totally agree about some of the cheap choices the director made. it’s not about a great script. it’s a love and hate relationship. we are watching for the sake of the romance, not really the development of the characters. I must say a like I like lot of the characters, but they lack depth and development.. and Yes, I was like “let’s throw some children and wounded soldiers to make ML less horrible” 😂

I believe in critical thinking. I don’t watch only things that makes me confortable. The series is actually very well made, and keeps me waiting for more. But I can’t be a passive viewer that won’t be aware of the enormous elephant in the room 😂

We see things very differently. I don’t condemn ML for being more ruthless while investigating her. But the whole act of making 2FL jealous and using her contract as a weapon is horrible. Her reactions are a consequence of the way he treats her. She’s kind and gentle with everyone who treats her right.

ML saving her was only a consequence of his own schemes. He put her in danger, so he had to save her.

About the slap: she’s naive. She has strong morals and thinks she’s better than him (she is most of the time, but she has also misjudged him).

She’s a character who still needs development. She has all that attitude but lacks planning and the ability to evaluate consequences. Some of her actions are purely out of spite and could definitely put her in bad situations. She doesn’t seem to have a real plan. She talks a big game but can’t actually save herself.

as far as the prints and videos I saw it was only flirting and being nasty (making sex jokes, talking about morning after pill). there were some prints that appeared after ep 9 that showed him talking about a “persona” he would creat in the show. literally a nerdy simp (exactly what he did). but I would take that with a grain of salt, because after those previous prints were leaked everyone knew his WeChat acc and could make new edits.

there’s a lot of evidences. imagens and audios (him singing 😂) I do believe it’s real and he’s not a nice person. But a lot of people prefer to believe only what they saw in the show. But, to me even in the show he was manipulating Yuer all the time, making sure she new his effort, felt pity of him… anyway he’s the least popular guy of the show in china

I’m very aware of the era it’s settled. Because of that is even more infuriating to me how he doesn’t have any boundaries. A woman reputation is everything, but he has “claimed” her openly leaving a stain. As we saw last episode, people just assume they were lovers.

I honestly don’t see a redemption arch. Seems she might loose her memory at some point, and they will have a “normal” relationship. But will probably be based on lies.
I know we are always hopeful for a HE, but the way things are going I hardly doubt.

I saw some imagens in the trailer: seems like he’s going to have a thing with SFL. also i believe he’s going to become very rich and target ML. but my doubts are if HE is bad, or the SITUATION is going to turn him bad, because ML is putting pressure on him, using his relationship with FL to provoke him.
