I think I’m in the minority here, but as much as I find ML’s behavior sexy, I can’t ignore how awful it must be for FL. She doesn’t like him!

I’ve seen so many people saying that maybe she doesn’t actually like SML, but yes, guys, she does! She was happy and ready to kiss him.

She has absolutely no reason to enjoy ML’s advances. He claims to be a gentleman when it comes to women, but he seems to forget everything he’s already done to her and continues to do.

“Oh, but he was drunk in the last episode.” Yeah, but he wasn’t drunk all those other times he grabbed her, pressured her, and tried to control her.

Yes, yes, the actor is insanely hot, and we’re all watching through rose-colored glasses, but I just don’t see the situation getting any better. Judging by the trailers, he’s going to try to forcefully kiss her several times. He’s even going to kidnap her / lock her up, which is honestly horrible.

I really wish I could just ignore all of this and enjoy watching a hot, jealous man, but I genuinely can’t.

she definitely likes him. she was ready for the kiss. not a single restrain. She would marry him for sure!! we don’t know if he is bad or he will turn bad because of the situation. even if he is a spy or something.

unfortunately something like this will probably happen.. he is really starting to be obsessed, and she’s not digging. I think he’s going to force himself a few times, but she will not back down. The allegory about cages is already being presented, so I do believe he’s going to trap her. I’m going to have a hard time watching something like that.

she definitely reminds him of his older brother, that idealism and righteousness. I agree that he sees something in her that he lacks. About him being toxic: just because that’s they way he was brought up doesn’t mean is less toxic. He might not have learned how to love properly, but that doesn’t change how bad he acted twords her. And will continue to act, because he’s going to forcibly kiss her, more than once.

He had an agenda with her from the beginning, but we can’t overlook the fact that while using her, he started developing feelings for her. But until ep 8, I don’t think he was ready to acknowledge that. The arrival of SML made it clear, even to himself, that he was undeniably attracted to her. Even his fantasy is all about physical attraction. He’s a layered character, very good at pretending, but he got caught up in his own act.

No, they are toxic. He used her to his advantage time and time again, manipulating her with the contract. He tortured her, knowing she wasn’t the main culprit. He pretended to be interested in her just to make Ziyi jealous and get what he wanted. He destroyed her reputation for his own personal agenda. FL’s only defense is to try not to be completely humiliated, so she fights back and plays his game. She’s clearly a soft girl. Just look at how she acts with SML and other characters. The way she responds to ML is entirely his own doing.

They showed a scene of him fantasizing about the neckline of her dress… Just a flash, but so sexy. I don’t remember a drama (a real one, not those short vertical dramas) that alludes to this kind of physical yearning.

she’s very one dimensional character. all of her intentions are in the face. She’s a spoiled little brat. can be dangerous but I believe there’s big villains forming

she has high moral standards and can came across as very naive. she’s bold and courageous, but sometimes translates as stupidity. she could’ve literally died for that slap she gave to ML. But she’s smart, so it’s only matter of time for her to grow a tick skin

it’s not here yet we only know he has some shady business with the concubine

I really like how subtle hints about the characters are being dropped. Gu Riu tong is in love with FL, but you have to really pay attention to notice.
FL fiancé has a secretly agenda, it’s very subtle hinted, in his “white lies”. ML brother in law almost got me!! But his revenge against Yu family runs deep!! Every character is not what they seem to be. only FL is real here. she doesn’t hide her intentions and is a good person in her core!! I just know she’s going to be crushed.

they never mentioned. the only scene was her mom being evasive about the pendant

2ML totally has a secret agenda. I think he’s going to have a link with Ziyi.

I’m so seated for the jealous era. He deserves it!

the tea about him is huge! basically he’s kind of a Casanova, flirting with multiple women at the same time. seeing more than one girl in the same day. it’s funny because he uses the same tactics he used with Yuer in the show. So yeap, he’s a smart guy that is used to calculate his moves

just read that in the novel he loves her in secret and dies protecting her… OMG my ghost ship

it’s not about being toxic for me. ofc it’s toxic, but because of it I have a hard time rooting for the ML and FL to be together. I can’t get pass the way he treats her. using her. manipulating her. I wish she didn’t fall for this type of man. Maybe IF he changes and starts to treat her better I can actually like them together

why do I ship FL with Gu Rui Tong? he seems like a genuine good person. the way he rescued her was so smooth

She’s tough but she’s rightful. He’s bad news all over it and very flirtatious with other women.
