Another thing that crossed my mind: they definitely left JiHyun and WonGyu’s story for later on purpose… something big is coming (long relationship + bad breakup vibes). And that empty box?? cruel. He’s so cold when he talks to her.
JiHyun is my fave so far 💕 I just love her personality, she’s so honest and easy to read. Her happiness that day she got two messages was pure joy to watch 🥹 and the little notes… so cute!!
I actually think she and YooSik match really well, but let’s see… both of them seem to have some complicated pasts…
Every couple this season is so interesting! The stories are super engaging. I love that the girls are taking the lead, but I do miss the guys being more proactive… maybe they still have lingering feelings?
Can someone please explain to me what it that force talking to Situ? I understood that he mastered some kind of power, but I’m really lost in what’s happening to him right now..
I know, I know—they’re going to divorce, and he’s going to crawl back to her because he’ll realize he loves her and bla bla. But this drama has such a realistic take that I’d actually love to see her thrive on her own, maybe even with another love interest. I mean, how can you realistically go back to a relationship after all of that?
Still, I have to remind myself this is a C-drama, and 99% of the time the real goal is romance, so they’ll just give us a redemption arc. In reality, the vast majority of men won’t regret, won’t come running back—they usually move on very quickly. But I guess I can only hope for something different, since it’s Zhao Lusi.
One thing that bothers me is that the FL cries in every single scene… when sometimes I’d rather see her angry, not crying! But I don’t think it’s the actress’s fault, it’s something very common in Cdramas. Female anger is still kind of unexplored territory.
This show is hilarious! I’m loving the fast pace, the amazing chemistry, and even the side characters’ storylines. For me, it’s a solid 9/10 so far! The 2FL is definitely my favorite!!
I also have to highlight how adorable the ML’s personality is here. Such a pleasant surprise! I’d only seen him in more serious roles before, and OMG, he’s completely different in this one!
And I absolutely love how the female general is portrayed. Tough and strong, but with a soft, feminine side. Love, love, love it!
So good up to ep13! Even the elderly parts is fun and not too overdone. The ML obviously is a genius, but lost so much because of the relationship with his mother and we don’t really know what else. Love mature romances, even though FL acts a little bit childish after they got together… but I can pass that. Solid 8 up until now!
I’m only here for the 2FL arc. I cried like a baby when she told a stranger she’d rather keep her love to herself just to make the two people she loves happy. A true heart of gold ðŸ˜
I wish we could see more of the 2FL. I just love her character! She also has the most painful backstory, being almost responsible for her father’s life/business. I love how strong and clear minded she is. She puts herself and her father first. She knows her love interest doesn’t love her, and she doesn’t make a fuss about it. She moves on, just like life does. She adapts.
I willingly chose to rewatch this entire series again. It’s so beautiful, so full of pain. Honestly, I haven’t seen a script this good, acting this powerful, or music this moving. It’s been a 10/10 since the first time. Four years have passed, and still, whenever someone asks, ‘What’s your favorite C-drama?’ I say One and Only. Nothing else in dramaland compares.

Anyway, I love her.
