Yes, a lot at the end didn't make sense. The emperor really annoyed me as well, like you said bipolar. His views changed so fast based on one persons statement, and a lesser important one (because CZ just became a higher ranking minister towards the end, but he was a disciple of Xu Jinfu for years, CZ would be influenced by him whether directly or indirectly - the emperor wasn't thinking - how much did he trust his words to make that decision, - the emperor really lost his sense there)

He presence didn't affect me at the beginning. He was just there at first, I was just so neutral towards him trying to exist, but towards the end he became so selfish and fed more into his delusions so he started pissing me off. He treated HY as property (without even asking her opinion about the marriage or how she feels), just go directly to the emporer to plant suspicion and get a decree that not only benefits him but hurts the woman he "supposedly" loves - selfish

Omg, I felt the same about CZ. I was relieved when he stood up against XuJinfu, but he just went back to his selfish delusions, wth, I was so annoyed. Regardless of the imperfections over all I did enjoy it, I will miss our dudu and He Yan 😌

Finally finished it, I needed more of them at the end but I still enjoyed it and loved them.

Love between Fairy and Devil was good. I saw the high ratings but I had no expectations when I started watching because when I watched historical dramas before, it always got to a point where I would get so bored. This wasn't one of those dramas 😊 loved every second.
If you're looking more for modern try I'm not a Robot or Fight for My Way, enjoyed those.
