Hello BL fans! I just wanted to come back here after a few days of being away. Just wanted to say that after reading a few comments and doing some research, my girlfriend and I, both decided to continue the series despite it's few triggering scenes. We both started watching the series together blindly, not knowing a lot about omegaverse, just very basic stuff we heard about. We both are very new into the ABO universe, so we were slightly ignorant about certain stuff. I have heard and read a little about it beforehand, and also in the series it was really helpful how they explained everything to the audience in the beginning, but there were so many other things that we didn't know about. So, obviously reading the comments here made us understand better and also doing more research about it. We still don't know many things, but I guess we understand this world a little better in order for us to mentally prepare ourselves lol. Just want to make clear that in no moment we disliked this series or threw hate on it. We just felt a little uncomfortable with some scenes and my girlfriend got triggered due to some past trauma experiences she has. But we both really like BL and the actors, so we want to continue to support the series so we can get more Chinese BLs in the future.🖤

Everyone has the right to say their opinion openly, as long as it is respectful. Hateful complains both in support or against the series isn't right. But as long as they are just sharing their concerns or dislikes in a respectful way there is nothing wrong with that😅 Also, a lot of people who come in, despite knowing the triggers, might not know how bad it could trigger them. So it's valid if they wanted to give the series a try, but later realized that it was not for them. It doesn't mean the series is bad tho. It just means that it's not for everyone.

It's different for everyone tbh. Some people are more sensitive towards those terms because they might have triggers from trauma experiences. It might sound dramatic, but it's reality. Some people who experience trauma like rape, SA, etc, are able to move on, while others will stick to that trauma their entire life, and it can affect them negatively. But it's not their fault for feeling that way. You might be thinking: "Well, it's fiction. They should be able to tell fiction with reality apart." Some people can, while others cannot depending on how severe their trauma is and how badly certain scenes can trigger them, giving them flashbacks of their traumatic experience. It's not that those terms are taboo, but they definitely can trigger certain people, not all.

I appreciate your concern for us, but it's my choice whether or not I come back here. I'm not here to talk bad about the series. I support the actors, and appreciate the making of the series overall, I just won't continue it for a valid reason (related to mental health). It's not to throw hate. I just stated my opinion respectfully and that's it. Please refrain from telling people what to do. I am asking politely, please.

I agree with you. It goes both ways. People also have preferences. Some prefer this one, while others Revenged Love. And that's valid. What's not right is to be hypocrite, and talk sh*t in one comment section, and then in the other that has similar themes/content talk like it is flowers and roses.😅

May I ask why people get so offended in the comment sections when people give respectful opinions? Like, I get it, if it's a rude, nonsense, type of opinion, then it's valid to get angry, especially if you love this series and appreciates it. But when someone is respectfully sharing their opinion, whether it is good or bad, why do people have to be all worked up about it and reply to them in such a passive-aggressive way? Even using sarcasm...I know MDL overall is very biased since is a platform where people can share their opinions openly, but the respect is long gone from this website😅😭

I totally agree with you. I don't blame the production team for not adding trigger warnings this time since BL in China is still very new and not received very well because of their government, and they are struggling to air uncensored ones even internationally, and I'm really grateful that we have been getting a few uncensored one in the past few years. But in the future, it is a good idea to add trigger warnings for viewers who have traumas and triggers, just to warn them ahead. Thank you for commenting and leaving a message of support and love. Hey dear BL fans! I just wanted to say that after this episode, my girlfriend and I might drop this series, and it's for reasonable reasons. It's nothing against the actors, cause we love them and they have been doing an amazing job with this series. But it's more of the plot that's affecting us, mostly my girlfriend. There's a lot of deceiving going on with the first couple, and now we also get to see their first NC scene which also turns out to be deceiving, forceful, without consent, and this has triggered my girlfriend really bad. I just want everyone to know that we have nothing against the series. My girlfriend just has traumas related to SA in her life that happened to her in a young age, and I believe this series has brought back a lot of those bad memories to her. I think for the best of her mental health, it is best to drop it. I am not sure if I want to continue it on my own, but I don't want to force my girlfriend to watch something that brings her bad memories from childhood trauma. I hope everyone understands the seriousness in this. We tried, but I guess this series is not for everyone. I was really excited cause it is ABO universe, but maybe this specific plot is not for the weak :') Even Revenged Love had some heavy themes, but it was not as triggering as this one. I hope that for whoever continues this series, they can enjoy it to the fullest and continue to support the actors. But for those who haven't started this yet, this message is just to warn you that if you have certain triggers and traumas, this might not be for you. Take care peeps.

I finished watching this 5 days ago, and decided to start reading the novel cause I was feeling so empty and sad after it ended. I'm ngl, I prefer the way they portrayed the characters in the series than in the novel. Not to judge the ones in the novel since I know they are the original ones, but I just really like the ones in the series. I'm not sure if you guys feel the same or maybe different, but yeah just wanted to share that with you all. I am still enjoying the novel though since we get to read some things that were not added into the series.
