I started watching this yesterday and omg, this is extremely cute! It reminds me so much to another BL called "Old Fashion Cupcake" and also to the GL "She Loves to Cook, She Loves to Eat." I love Japanese series with this vibe! So pure and cute!
I hope this information gives a bit of peace to some who are still very worried for this series:
Addicted, Spirealm, and Justice in the Dark are some examples of dramas who got canceled because they were BL or censored BL also known as "bromance". The reason why they were canceled was because of China's strict measures with BL series. They don't like promoting it inside of Mainland China for the government, it is a bad example for China and it gives them bad reputation according to their believes. However, the good news are that there has been a few BL series and also censored BL series from China who have been able to air outside of China smoothly and with no problems. A few examples are:
1) Stay with Me (Recorded in China, by Chinese producers and actors, and aired internationally.) 2) Meet you at the Blossom (Recorded in China, by Chinese and Thai producers and actors, and aired internationally and promoted in Thailand.)
3) Let's also not forget about "Spirealm" and "Justice in the Dark," they both were bought by a Japanese company after being canceled in China and were later fully aired internationally by the Japanese Company who bought their rights.
Yes, I understand that this series is getting a lot of hype and attention both in China and internationally, and it might not be good news for China to see a BL coming from their country getting so much attention, but there is also nothing much they can do cause it's not being aired in any Chinese platforms that they can control. All I can say is to please wait patiently for official information coming from original/trusted sources, don't listen to rumors that are being spread, and continue to support this series with all you got if you really like it and want to see more.
The screenwriter is already begging fans to stop spreading rumors and misinformation. So please avoid doing what…
You have a point, and I understand why many fans are concerned. But having a negative mentality right now is not helping either. It's giving a lot of pressure to the Screenwriters and Producers because fans are going wild and spreading rumors in social media. But I also do hope that the actors get more protection and like you said, for management to learn from this to take appropriate actions.

This C-BL series is not being aired in China, nor being aired in any Chinese platforms. So there shouldn't be any issues with the airing like what happened with Addicted, Spirealm, and Justice in the Dark, because they all aired in China and in Chinese platforms. Take the C-BL series "Meet you at the Blossom" as an example. It was aired internationally, recorded in mainland China, with Chinese and Thai actors, and also Chinese and Thai producers, and it was able to be aired without an issue. They even were able to promote it in Thailand. As long as these series are aired outside of the Chinese platforms, then there shouldn't be any issues with censorship.
Also, the issues with the actors has nothing to do with the series being BL, but because there are toxic fans out there who don't give personal space to these actors once they become big, and they like to dig into their backgrounds to ruin their lives. A lot of actors and actresses in China that have not ever done BL series have also went through a similar situation with these types of toxic fans. I understand your concern, but you cannot compare this series to other Chinese censored BL series that had issues because they have aired in China while this one is being aired outside China, just like Meet you at the Blossom, and also take Justice in the Dark as another example. It was canceled in China, but later it was able to fully air internationally after being bought by a Japanese company to air it outside of China. Another good example is "Stay With Me", a BL series that barely got censored and it was able to release fully outside of China with no issues as well.
I think it's just the past trauma of C-BLs getting cancelled in the middle of airing.
I get it, and it's valid for them to be scared. But it's also not good to spread negativity. I've been a danmei fan since 2017, so I understand the fear that some fans might have. some of you in the comments are so negative despite reassurance, are you trying to manifest the show into cancellation?
The best thing we can do is be patient and stay positive, but there is so much negativity out there which is already pressuring the screenwriter and production team.π
What that tiktok video said ? Actually In my country tiktok is banned even through vpn I can't access the tiktok…
The tiktok is basically about the post that the screenwriter/director posted recently. They stated: "Please don't panic! It's just a normal content adjustment because the previous editing was controversial, so episodes 11 and 12 are being replayed, which will make the best presentation of the content. Because the content adjustment involves translation and dubbing, we need some time! We're already working on it. Can you give me some time? Please don't attack innocent actors and creators. The government will definitely give you a clear time for the replay this week. Please don't believe the gossip."
Gagaoolala has responded in instagram to a few comments from panicked fans and said they are NOT cutting out scenes and it has already been said multiple times by the screenwriter and author of the novel. There's no issue with airing due to china cracking down since china does not own this series. They also do not own any of the platforms its airing on. This postponement is most likely due to dubbing issues and re-editing (NOT TO CUT OUT SCENES, But most likely to fix dialogue to make the series less controversial and to make it make sense). This will continue airing with no issues. I also want to add as a side note that the original novel is really controversial. Even the original author herself has mentioned about how problematic her novel is. The novel mentions racism, homophobia, and SA. So there is a lot of things that cannot be added to the series because is too controversial. So it makes sense why they are trying to "re-dub and translate" for the best experience like they mentioned in their original post.
The gay scenes that are being criticized in this series are harmless compared to Thai series. And now even those…
The screenwriter is already begging fans to stop spreading rumors and misinformation. So please avoid doing what they are telling us not to do. You are just assuming and there is no original sources that states that this will become a bromance. Please.
The screenwriter already released official news about why the episodes won't be airing this week. They are also…
Also guys, please don't spread rumors of them cutting scenes or deleting scenes. They have not mentioned anything related to that. Those are just rumors that fans are spreading around. Plus, if they really had to cut off some scenes, then they wouldn't need to re-dub and translate the series anymore. It seems more like they are trying to add some scenes, or change some dialogue instead since they mentioned that "they need to re-dub and translate again." So please let's be patient and see what will happen instead of believing rumors that are not confirmed by original sources. There is so much panic that they are already begging fans to stop spreading misinformation :')

I was liking this series very much up until Chi Chang started pressuring Wu Su Wei for sex, even to the point…
That's exactly how I felt while watching the "threatening scene" and it's totally valid to feel that way. It's not right to behave that way. I honestly was expecting Chi Cheng to be a flawed character, so I'm not too surprised. And series with flawed characters is what makes the story itself interesting and entertaining to the audience. But it might also cause some fans to feel uncomfortable, which is normal. Let's hope to see some character development in Chi Cheng's character. Not to justify his wrong behavior, but to understand his complex character better. I'm looking forward for watch the next episodes to see what happens.
If CC actually followed through WSW would hate him, CC is not dumb! The threat is wrong in itself but we know…
True, you're right. I doubt Chi Cheng would do something like that. It would definitely upset Da Bao. But yeah, the threat itself was so wrong lol. Our poor doctor Jiang :'D
i just noticed this show ranked 98 in MDL POPULARITY CHART?!??? like WHAT ?!? a BL?!? this HIGH??? damn RL breaking…
I'm so proud of the production team and the cast for making it this far!!! They deserve itπ Let us know what you think of the episode later. It was so good! ^^
Gurly, just passing by to wish you good luck in your exams! You got this!
Omg congrats! I'm so happy for you. Yes fr. They can say their opinion, but they are just being so disrespectful in so many ways, ugh. It's okay tho. Don't mind them. Just like you said, attention seekers who like to cause drama haha.
After watching episode 10, I can say that I was left with a conflicted heart that is eager to watch the next episodes. This episode overall was really exciting and it ended in a very suspenseful way like always. The only complaint I have is Chi Cheng's threats towards Dr. Jiang. It made me feel conflicted and a little uncomfortable. I can't defend him for that. The poor doctor didn't do anything wrong :( I understand Chi Cheng's desperation and frustration, but still, threatening to SA someone is morally wrong. But it's okay. I'm not expecting him to be a perfect character either. Series are allowed to have flawed characters, and most of the time these flaws makes the series more exciting and suspensful. I just hope Chi Cheng's character improves and gets some type of character development. I don't want to say much about him yet cause there is still so much to learn about him and his past. Not to justify his wrong behavior, but to understand him better. Anyways, I'm really excited for the next episodes. Waiting for Monday again is going to be a torture, aahh!
Allow me to say that the sheer threat of rape makes me slightly uncomfortable. I have been allowing Chi Cheng…
I agree with you to some extent. I also felt a bit uncomfortable with the way Chi Cheng threatened Dr. Jiang in this episode. I can't defend him for doing that. Dr. Jiang has done nothing wrong. But let's wait and see what happens. I am not the type that likes judging a series that is incomplete, and in general I'm very open minded. I'm still very much enjoying the series and I'm excited for the next episodes. I just hope there is some type of character development in his character. I also wanna know more about Chi Cheng's past to understand his complex character. I feel like there so much more to learn from him. Not to justify his wrong behavior, but to understand him a little better as well. Let's wait and see. Thank you for sharing your honest opinion. :)
