Thank you for the info! I'm always wondering how the show is doing in China. About those fans you're referring to, obviously angry complaining or demanding more screen time is not okay, but I find the opinion itself totally valid. I also left a comment on the official Ig thanking the team and telling them that the episode was really good but also that I missed Yong Jie a lot in it. I think that's a given. If the ep had had no Li Cheng I'd have missed him, too. Still, it's very important to give every feedback in an appropriate way! About who "made the show successful", my impression is that the Western fans favour ChengRen CP while Chinese fans favour YongXing CP. Maybe it' s all in the mix. :)
Were you able to find the title of the song played when Xongsi said he is greedy :)?
Hi everyone, the title is [唯一想了解的人] ("The only person I want to know (/understand)"). Someone pieced the song together with parts from the show on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VuFFsHnN6c For the clean version, we'll just have to wait for the release... (Another fan said it might be on May 5th. Fingers crossed! :) )
I enjoyed this episode way too much, so much that instead of hating Aeoy like I normally do; I felt bad for him.…
Your comment about an alternate universe where straight people are seen as blasphemous instantly reminded me of an awesome short film I saw that outlines this universe. If anyone's interested, find the like below.
I pose a lot of questions in this post, but please, please don't give me any novel spoilers! I just want to share my thoughts and possibly discuss opinions with other people who are wondering what's going on.
Aoey's character is difficult to understand for me. Saying he likes Nubsib and snogging Mork (Saymork) when he actually likes Gene... I mean telling Gene he likes Nubsib makes some sense from the perspective that he was hoping to guilt-trip Gene into not accepting Nubsib. (I actually once rejected a person I liked bc my friend told me they liked them, first.) But wouldn't it have been easier to tell Gene, "I really like you, please get to know me better and see if you like me, too," from the start instead of giving Nubsib all the time in the world to win his heart and then confess when Gene's already in love with Nubsib? (Aoey might just be too messed up to even consider such a normal approach.) And even if Gene had rejected Nubsib bc of a guilty conscience, how was Aoey planing on winning him over after that without blowing his "I like Nubsib" cover? Btw, when did he even start liking Gene? Didn't he just meet him at the auditions? Or is his "like" actually just referring to a celebrity crush? Or is it a "love at first sight" setting? And the kiss with Mork... Was it just that in his moment of weakness Aoey though, "He's the only one who cares about me and who's comforting me on this horrible birthday, maybe I'll give him a chance," and then when he kissed him he realised, "Nah, I just don't like him..."? Or was he just playing with Mork bc he was angry at him, so he decided to give him some false hope and then crush it? Or maybe he does have some reluctant feelings for Mork that he's in denial about? (That's what I'm trying to delude myself into believing... ^^°) I always feel like he's being cold towards Mork on purpose, like he's consciously putting up a front of hurtful behaviour to push him away. Hidden underneath that might be some sort of feelings or appreciation for him? Like maybe he doesn't want to "corrupt" Mork and he wants him to find someone who's "good" just like him? Aoey looked fragile for a moment when Mork confessed and he did seem a bit panicked when he told him that he had to stay away. "But you have to stay away from my life. I beg you. I beg you, Mork." Who says that to someone they don't give a sh*t about? Then again the "because I don't want to hate you" comment fit with him telling Gene that he doesn't want him to hate him. I just don't know. All my speculations are probably miles off bc I get a different atmosphere from each scene Aoey and Mork have... Anyway, I'm sad to say that, at this point, chances of Aoey and Mork getting together don't appear too high to me (due to Aoey liking Gene and having a mountain of other things to figure out) which I find soooo sad bc I was basically shipping them since the first time they spoke in ep 2... Well, I'll just have to wait and see what happens in the last 3 eps.
And in the past Chinese fans loved Thai BL more than Taiwanese BL due to political reasons & condescending attitude…
Thank you for the answer! That's so interesting! I've heard a lot of international fans complain about the character of FYJ, but I was always under the impression that Chinese fans were much happier with him. I guess, culture just influences perspectives a lot. (As for the actor, he's so sweet! How could anyone not love him? :) )

Thank you for sharing the info, very interesting to hear how it's doing in China!! And I'm kinda surprised to hear that they love FYJ so much. Do you mean the actual character or the actor?
Can someone say to me their age in drama? l just know fyj is 20 but others?
Xing Si says that he's 28 in the introduction in ep 1. Mu Ren must be 29 because, when he tells Xing Si he wants to buy a house when he turns 30, Xing Si replies that that means they'll only be housemates for one more year. Since Li Cheng joined the company after Mu Ren, I would assume that he's probably at least one year younger, probably even two or three.
I thought they will skip that part from the novel but they didn't. It's worse in the novel - anyway I didn't expect…
Well, I'm certainly glad they excluded the whole rape thing in the show... But it's still messy. Thank you for sharing with me what you know about this, and thank you for stating your sources. :)
So I just started watching this for the second time because the first time I watched this, nothing was processing…
I guess he must have liked him or he wouldn't have kept the string Fighter tied for him on his wrist for half a year... I think their earliest scenes could be interpreted as a weird way of mild flirting, so Tutor might have thought they were getting somewhere until the FighterHwahwa dating announcement. So he was thrown off and felt disappointed as well as possibly a bit stupid and/or betrayed.

What the actual f*ck! That's not just unspeakably horrible, it doesn't even make sense, especially with Type's background. Now I understand why a lot of people dislike Mame. I'm surprised her books ever got picked up to be made into series. It seems she handles these kinds of problematic subjects in a totally inappropriate fashion all the time. Anyway, thank you again for explaining, so I could understand.
Well, I didn't expect the supernatural turn. This story is getting complicated. O.O Happy MarkKit are together. Still rooting for ThanuPhai, PhaWayu, PadbokSab. Of course, the other couples have their moments, too. ;)

Tomorrow will be ep 11 and 12 of 20 (or double ep 6 of 10).

(Sorry, you're couples didn't get more screen time though...)
