Came here looking for a low rated review after watching the first 2 episodes, and I have to say, I am not disappointed.…
The thing with rom-coms is they are focused on the main couple, and if you like the chosen actors/actresses the respective rom-com is great in your eyes. Everyone has his/her favorite actors/actresses and his/her own opinions. I'm focused on the art of cinema, meaning even if I don't or didn't like an actor I still can admit if one of them really delivered an amazing performance, even if I wouldn't rewatch the respective show. The main actor in King the Land is a lifeless average actor whose limited acting abilities can be recognized by a mile. Let's see if he improves in the future or if he continues to use the same expression over and over again, whether it's a melodrama, a crime thriller, a historical drama, or a rom-com.
Actually I thought she did an OK job here. I couldn't finish the K2 because that character and how she played…
I finished this show because I liked some of the other actors, particularly the second female lead. Yoona is just an pop idol. You should know how the Korean entertainment industry is working. They even make young girls celebrating the biggest crap. Thanks god there are enough shows for everyone.
"Recycled cheese" describes this show best. It wasn't intended to be a great drama focusing on the art of storytelling, acting and directing. It was made for freaking idol groupies who do not give a damn about the art of cinema. Most idol groupies do not even know what a real good-looking man is. They are brainwashed into thinking this and that has to be great. Some of the worst actors with no charisma at all are celebrated as great and good-looking actors here on mdl. That is why such shows are made. I can tell you in advance which future shows will be overhyped and overrated again.
Been reading this comments and I'm finding them so hilarious and ironic😂.This series is a mystery, action, supernatural,…
Romance between whom? That creepy main actor is a ridiculous joke. A romance would be the last laugh. I'm rooting for the villain couple though. They are a perfect match and the only reason to continue watching this crap.
what tf is happening with the Rating? its the Best K-Drama of 2023 so far
In hindsight one of the worst shows. Don't tell me this show is better than The Glory and a handful of other shows, like Love to Hate You, Queenmaker, Bloodhounds, See You in My 19th Life, Celebrity, Numbers, or even My Perfect Stranger. Give me a good reason this show is "the best". Average main leads and a script inspired by old Kdramas, soap operas from the 2000s. I liked the first 2, 3 episodes, then it went downhill. The main actor ruined this show, he just can't rock. It needs a Namgoong Min to save a show with him from failing, like Chief Kim/Good Manager.
I think she was the female demon in season 1, I don't remember the name of the actress but I think it's her unless,…
You mean Ok Ja-yeon, who played in Queenmaker, Mine, and The Veil? I like her. Her performance in season 1 was one of the best in an otherwise poorly performed show. Season 2 even became an insult to the acting profession. Except for Kang Ki-young, it's plain torture to watch the others performing. It's shocking to see the performance of Yeom Hye-ran after her amazing performance in The Glory. The guy playing Moon is a terrible actor anyway.
so moon didn't get stronger in no time. he trained for 2 years and his hard work paid offhe's literally not like…
He's an awful actor. In season 1 he already delivered the most cringe performance. In this season he plays indeed a wannabe-hot-shot jerk whose "energy" and action sequences are not believable, just laughable due to one of the worst CGI works I've seen. This combined with the creepy actor who's playing moon makes the show what it is: total garbage. The director/writers team too extensively used the American formula of "the more seasons the more exaggeration until ridiculousness" to entertain some brainwashed audiences. I like Korean comedy and overacting, but this show is as American as it gets. It has nothing to do with the Korean over-the-top comedy which I like so much.
The 3rd pairing (Ho Rang and Won Seok) are hands down the most annoying couple I've ever seen in a kdrama, just…
Yeah, this won seok dude was so annoying. At first, it was cute but then they dragged it out. No straight man with a beautiful gf behaves that way, except he's actually gay (and the actor looks indeed gayish). It became so annoying that it wasn't neither funny nor touching, just wasted time. They should shorten such rom-coms to 10 or 12 episodes, avoiding unnecessary criticism like mine. This show could have been so much better.
it's so rude to give this kind of rating when the drama hasn't even really started
I will watch all episodes, don't worry about that. However, the tone and style, the cringe acting and Hollywood-like exaggeration with each season, is set, no matter how the story develops or unfolds. I like both main actresses but how the director turned them into cheap performers here is beyond shocking. I liked season one, despite the cringe acting of the young male lead.

Jun ho is average. In Good Manager he was outperformed not just by the great Namgoong Min but also a few supporting actors. I don't judge by fame, hyper hype or looks, like the K-pop groupies do, I judge by acting talent or performance. Everyone has his or her favorites, yet I still judge by performance (Namgoong Min's performance in The Undateables, for example, and the whole show itself was disappointing. I've never rewatched and barely mentioned this show.) On mydramalist I early on realized how the creepiest actors and most cringe performances are overhyped, probably by K-pop industry bots. No one can deny the obvious differences in acting talent and performance between the actors/actresses in respective show. On mydramalist I also learned how criminally underrated the middle-aged supporting actors are, who often make the difference and compensate for the boring or even terrible performance of the waxfigure casted as main lead. The entertainment industry survives with the concept of hyping young stars to attract the young audience, the fanboys/girls who have no clue about acting (that's why reality tv garbage is so popular nowadays).
I just started watching this (currently in episode 2), but I like more the secondary couple (flight attendants)…
The second couple is indeed more interesting. The main couple, performed by two average actors, was only chosen to attract all the obsessed groupies, the fanboys/girls who judge by fame, hype and looks rather than acting talent or performance. (In Good Manager Jun ho was outperformed not just by the great Namgoong Min but also a few supporting actors/actresses.)
