let me put it this way. i'm not romanticizing abuse. i'm seeing bullying for what it is, an unhealthy coping mechanism, and promoting sympathy toward ex-bullies who repented and became better people. a look at bullying points to problems at home and school. hyuk woo wasn't treated as a person. he got pushed around and learnt to behave the same way in his relationships with his peers. so moon read his memories and saw that. he saw little hyuk woo, a mistreated, bullied child whose traumatic stress lasted well beyond his childhood. he was bullied by his "family" and fake "friends." bullying helped him feel in control of the situation when everything else was falling apart. so moon's heart broke for him. he gave hyuk woo some of his love; by defending him from bullies, putting his head on his shoulder, carrying him to his bed, introducing him to his "grandparents," sharing a meal, inviting him over to his place, etc. he accepted hyuk woo for all he was despite his flaws. and hyuk woo was moved by that love
his personality wasn't set in stone. hyuk woo stepped outside his comfort zone and began to change, grow and transform for so moon. that's true love. so moon's love has already had a profound, therapeutic effect on hyuk woo. i want so moon to love hyuk woo more. to hold him, to connect with him emotionally and physically, to re-wire his mind and body back to the natural state of intimacy. this ship gives hyuk woo a second opportunity to demonstrate his self-growth/character development
