Would you mind sharing a bit more detail? Are either of the main characters queer? Regardless of how it ends, do either have romantic feelings for the other?
It's her POV, so if she doesn't know what he's thinking, it makes sense we don't get to either.
Yeah, it’s the same in both English/Japanese subtitles. When he’s speaking to himself, speaking to someone else in Korean who understands or generally when the audience is meant to understand what he is saying it’s translated. If he speaks aloud to the FL who doesn’t understand, that part is not translated on purpose (it just says “In Korean”). It’s all about POV ☺️

Not sure we checked the same subtitles, but when I checked the Japanese CC it says “(Thoughts in Korean)” when she hears his thoughts and doesn’t understand. When it’s her POV or the audience isn’t meant to understand it isn’t translated in Japanese subtitles either.
😢 If it makes you feel any better, this is the first time in my 6 years on MDL that I've been able to successfully make a significant contribution, after many rejections too... I agree a pending list would be nice so we don't waste our time.
It's OK, but it relies too heavily on Eddy playing games (figuratively). How about "I'm in love with you and it…
I agree so many stories throw in past connections for no real reason, but here it's their past relationship that makes the story so fascinating and angsty in my opinion.
Eddy has unresolved feelings of abandonment. His best friend shared some surprising feelings and before Eddy has a chance to even process it, completely disappears from his life. He can't respond back, he can't talk to Ian and question what it all means, it's frustrating and it hurts to be ghosted, and yeah he's acting really petty about it in the present-day. Even after meeting again, Ian still doesn't want to talk about their past, adding to the frustration of not being able to clear the air. Not condoning Eddy's behaviour, but I think his feelings are very understandable.
no i agree! the show had already established a sense of mystery about their group identities and so i feel like…
Same! Hehe I immediately recognised KINGDOM for their unique sound and concept… and then they were gone.
I _kinda_ recognise some faces but couldn’t tell you their names/group names and want to keep it that way so I can just judge their performances on the show as standalone.
Am I the only one watching this show without knowing the groups/artists because I don't want to become biased? I recognise a few faces of course, but otherwise deliberately trying not to look up names/backstories. Navigating these comments is a fieldmine 😅
Anybody knows the difference duration between the cut and uncut?
If you're asking for the length of extra scenes in the uncut, I would estimate 20 seconds in total, maybe even less.
As someone else mentioned the format of the two versions is different, with the cut version also including the "Next break" preview in between each section (which makes it longer overall).
I have some thoughts on Krystian and Kamden's situation. 1. Whoever says there is a limit to evil editing - no…
Language barriers are hard and I'm not surprised by Kamden getting upset not knowing how to lead the conversation when he can't even communicate. I feel we can't be too hard on them because as you said they're kids, and only a few have any leadership skills or experience. But you're absolutely right in that Kamden was probably not their best choice as the leader of that team.
One thing that bothers me is the attitude of some of the other members of the team, who (even in the evil edit) are seen to directly talk to Krystian (presumably in a translator role) instead of addressing Kamden. I know it's easier to speak in one's own language, but it shows a level of disrespect for the leader they supposedly elected. So, not only do they not know how to be a leader or choose a leader, they also don't know how to behave in a team with a leader... this will go well ^-^
I finished ep 8 and I have mixed feelings. The MLs are really, like REALLY REALLY handsome (esp. Meen) and I was…
To be fair, Nhai did warn Ai that he annoyed all his previous exes 😂. Personally, I didn't find Nhai that bad, but I do agree with how the relationship seemed so one-sided. I think in later episodes Nhai does show how he cares about Ai (with him standing up to Ai's mom and trying hard to get on good terms with the dads). They have different love-languages, but it seems to work for them.
The comments and reviews make this show seem terrible, but I found it entertaining. The story is simple, the chemistry was good and there were few major conflicts, making it a cute watch if you don't want anything too complicated or angsty. Just two (very) good-looking people falling in love.
I'll have to agree to disagree with your view. Nuae literally spelled it out on why he likes him tho. lol. At…
You make some good points. I was more lamenting the fact that Nuea didn't have much of a storyline outside of being Toh's object of affection. As you alluded to, he was almost too good to be true, so I would have liked to have seen a flaw or two, or some conflict to gain insight into his character.
The show was focused on Toh, so we got to see when he first fell for Nuea, his relationships with his amazing friends and him finally accepting it's no longer a "secret crush". But I feel Nuea's insecurities and where they come from could have been better explored. Toh is not the first person to have shown interest in him. What makes Toh the one? Once they got to know eachother, how did it differ from first impressions? The neurodivergent lens just makes Toh an even more interesting love interest that could have been explored.
We got to see a lot of sweet moments, but some insights/conversations along the way where they got to know their crush would have elevated them from attraction and idolatry, to a more realistically developed relationship for the audience, at least for me.

Wow. I don't feel good about myself at all 😂💀
