This came so highly recommended for its strong female lead, but she has a terrible flaw: she’s highly manipulative to get what she wants from the male lead (who is super sweet!). I’m curious to hear why others loved her character so much.
I've given it a 10 and I respect myself lol. And also, you just have to do away with logic and enjoy the ride.…
I'm sure you didn't mean to offend anyone, but I just wanted to point out that this person is not a feminist. At least not a good one XD. I wish there was a way for me to downvote their comments on behalf of other feminists. Thank you for speaking up!
Thank you for introducing people to such a great topic! My favourite thing about watching foreign dramas is that it opens you up to new worlds through learning about other cultures. ^-^
I've always considered "Oppa" best translates to "Baby" when referring to someone you're flirty with. I'm not American, so am curious if "Daddy" is actually a commonly used term in the US? Where I'm from it's considered quite a "trashy" term which doesn't really in it's usage in my opinion.
I haven't started watching this yet as I might wait until its finished airing. But I'm wondering going at the…
Up until recent years, Korean dramas rarely get a second season. The drama is different enough to the webtoon (which is rumoured to be ongoing for at least another year) that they will probably wrap up this drama with an original ending.

Some key points, for those still on the fence. This made the difference, in my opinion, in terms of "ickyness" - Yuri is quite mature for his age, and is perceptive enough to understand the situation and respect boundaries. - Junko doesn't even entertain the idea of a relationship with Yuri until the last episode when Yuri is in University.
I was very hesitant to start this. As others have said there are several problematic relationships here (teacher/student, cousins), but I gave it a go and was surprised by how thoughtful the show was. A big part was because the characters themselves behaved appropriately and decisions weren't taken lightly. The adults behaved like adults (for the most part), and every character was well developed so I understood their choices, even if I wouldn't have made the same choices myself.
The whole cast is great, but I'm really impressed with Akaso Eiji's performance. His comedic timing is spot on, and makes everything cuter, funnier and more endearing. Hope he gets more roles out of this.
The latest trailer looks very cute! For some reason it's giving me "Pretty Noona Buys Me Food" aka "Something in the Rain" vibes, but I'm sure it's more light-hearted than that.
The new English title loses the unique and edgy (?) feel of the Korean title unfortunately, but I'm looking forward to it nevertheless -- because you can't deny how aesthetically pleasing this looks!
For reasons a lot of other comments have mentioned, I was quite let down by this drama. The female lead - a woman we're supposed to be rooting for - was such a weak-willed character. The second-lead behaved very questionably, and still she forgave him and let herself be manipulated by the situation. Boys and girls, please don't learn relationship advice from this show. That is not the right way to show interest in someone. It was a shame to waste Song Wei Long's puppy dog eyes in this.
It was really refreshing how the male lead was not your usual dominant/arrogant type, but actually very kind, thoughtful and always cared about what the female lead wanted. He made sure she never did anything she didn't want to do, didn't try to trick or manipulate her and always communicated. Relationship goals! Who said nice guys never get the girl?

Two ridiculously good looking people... I can't even.
