Props to Billy for really selling his role despite not having much to go on. Even in the final episode I struggle to explain (and so does he) why Nuea even likes Toh.
I've heard so many good things about this series, and the setup was great. But I'm about halfway through now and struggling to stay interested because the pacing is so painfully slow. Is there more to the central plot (that they are reincarnations) or does that fill the entire 17 episodes?
I am utterly bored…. I can’t hold out any longer. Before anyone says anything to me…I ENJOYED Falling into…
It took me a few episodes to get into this too, especially with the drawn-out scenes. I think it's perfectly fine if you didn't enjoy the drama! If everyone liked the same things the world would be a boring place.
Just wanted to add though, for anyone considering watching this and coming across this comment, that I wouldn't compare YAMG with Falling Into Your Smile (FIYS). FIYS is definitely an "idol" drama, a light and fluffy rom-com. YAMG leans more towards the melo/drama side and has more focus on career and patriotic themes.
By the end of the show it seemed like everyone was super tired and I kinda felt that in their performances. The final episode stretching so few performances over 1.5 hours was disappointing, and it's a shame it ended on such a note. A great opportunity to promote band music and I discovered some great new bands from it. Hopefully you all did too!
Starts a sentence with "No offense but" and then proceeds to offend the entire cast...
Maybe instead explain why you're disappointed with the rest of the cast? I'm a huge D.O fan so look forward to how he'll interact with the known and lesser known actors alike.
The show started off awkwardly with the Mr G. storyline, villain editing and forced twist "rules". But the last few episodes have really started to be what this show should be about - showcasing the immense talent they all have and seeing how they can learn from eachother and grow as artists. My favourite stages so far are the ones that have shown they can take feedback and improve on their previous performances.
can anyone translate the synopsis of the drama he was going to do?
The synopsis shown for "The World of Stars" roughly translates to "A drama that portrays the story of Korea's top star and the people who share his world".
Honestly it was predictable and silly, but I had a lot of fun watching it. All the characters got their own storyline, the main couple had decent chemistry, and it was short and well paced enough that it kept me entertained throughout. You can’t really ask for more in a light-hearted romcom about idols.
Some key points, for those still on the fence. This made the difference, in my opinion, in terms of "ickyness"-…
I wasn’t sure how to answer this one since legal adult varies by country. But the legal age of adulthood in Japan is 20 when this show was made (this is changing to 18 in 2022). The legal age of marriage in Japan varies (16f/18m). Yuri is in university in the last episode so I assume he is 18-19.

His singing voice in the super catchy "L.O.V.E" counts too.
