Yue Qin cannot be a serious character , “let her go and let Mei Lin choose freely” SHE HAS!?!?! he’s so…
And in that time, they probably spent, at most, 1 hour together. I'm actually being generous...most likely, 30mins max is more like it.
All she did was show him and his servant the way to escape. It makes no sense that years later he is arbitrarily making decisions pertaining to her as if they are childhood friends. 🙄
Please, I need help with clarification about a picture linked in the spoiler comment below. Thanks 🙂
I am confused by the burning building scene. When I watched the scene, it was so confusing to me because of the weird and somewhat abrupt editing of that scene. Did MJH ride his horse into the building (see linked picture)? Please help 😭
I loved the surprise of having the 3rd prince actually finish up the embroidery, which served as a symbolism of him non-verbally communicating with his mom (before eventually talking to her at the end). Also, I loved that this moment of reconnection with his mom was initiated by his future love interest. The way they were seated together as he sewed was so perfect. 🫠🥰
Wait a minute...is that "8.0" I'm seeing as the rating for this show? LMAO....In what universe are the 7 episodes that have aired below "8.5"? Really, guys? This is why I don't take MDL ratings seriously. What a joke...."8.0" indeed. 🙄
I'm enjoying it. I thought there were a lot of great moments and dialogues. Maybe it's because it was dialogue…
Agreed...I've loved the faster pace (compared to most CDramas) of the first 5 episodes. But I'm so glad the pace slowed a bit in episodes 6 and 7 to focus on character moments (we had many in these 2 episodes). Such moments are essential to building character dynamics across the board, which in turn serves the larger story. Episodes 6 and 7 were great. Loved them.😊
So, my question is: Episode 1, he made her stay in his palace for the night. Does that mean they spent the night…
They did not do the deed. Because if you recall, in that scene where he checks her bed to see if it is warm, when he initially stepped into the room, she reminded him that they are supposed to wait until after the banquet and he told her he does not want to wait. So, this implies they did not sleep together in Jingbie(sp) after the bath scene.
All she did was show him and his servant the way to escape. It makes no sense that years later he is arbitrarily making decisions pertaining to her as if they are childhood friends. 🙄

There is not much discussion under those pages.
