The second half became a mess: so many things stopped making sense, especially the sudden appearance of her husband in the final episodes. I’m not saying the webtoon plot is flawless, but it’s far better than what we got here.

By this point, I was expecting a much stronger character development for Jun Seo. At least we finally see this at the end of episode 8, but I was really hoping it would've started sooner. And now there’s this new guy who suddenly appears, apparently A Jin’s fiancé? It feels like he came out of nowhere and is forced for the sake of the plot.

Hopefully it is a spoiler, because it's been very hard to watch Jun Seo. Baek A Jin is a tragic character, but she definitely deserves a downfall by none other than Jun Seo.
Despite the many loopholes and confusing parts of the story that didn't make sense logically (and there were quite a few), I actually enjoyed watching it. What really stood out to me was the acting — especially Lee Chae Min, who delivered an excellent performance.
Overall, I’d rate it around 7.5/10 based on the writing and plot, but I bumped it up to 8.5 because each episode was genuinely fun to watch and didn’t feel long at all, even with the 1 hour and 20 minutes runtime.

She doesn’t have to reveal the exact date of his death, but why not at least warn him that Kang Mok Ju is a treacherous fox? And what about Prince Je San? She already knows about these things. At first, I could understand why she stayed quiet . But now that she’s bold enough to stop him from killing his grandmother, how can she do that and still refuse to tell him about crucial future events? Why not explain the real reasons he must avoid becoming a tyrant?
And how can you be sure that revealing the truth wouldn’t change the outcome? Her very presence has already altered the original timeline, so why not push it further to secure a proper “happy ending”?
At this stage, it just feels like the screenwriters are deliberately steering the story toward a bad ending. The last episode already killed off nearly everyone, and this silence only makes it worse.
Can someone explain why the FML doesn’t just tell the king what’s going to happen in the future? Why doesn’t she reveal all the awful things Kang Mok Ju has done, especially since her assistant chef already told her everything and could even serve as a witness? And what about the jester—why doesn’t he come forward and expose that Kang Mok Ju was behind the poisoning of the king’s half-brother?
I’m really enjoying this series, but these gaps just don’t make sense to me. The screenwriters really dropped the ball on those parts—it does nothing to help the FML’s character.
