Love 020, My fantastic mrs. right, the love equations, the plough department of song dynasty, Chef hua, and All I want for love is you
Love 020 and The Love Equations are both light-hearted romcom college dramas, like A Little Thing Called First Love. The characters aren't too similar, because although the male leads in Love 020 and The Love Equations are good at their area of study in college, they aren't cute like Liang You Nian (they still do fall in love with the female leads, though).
My Fantastic Mrs. Right and The Plough Department of Song Dynasty both have cute male leads and are light-hearted dramas, but the personality of the male lead in My Fantastic Mrs. Right might be closer to that of Liang You Nian.
Chef hua isn't modern and it doesn't have a cute male lead, but the male lead isn't rude and arrogant like so many male leads in Chinese dramas. I really like the male lead. He's chill, and he really likes the female lead. He's not rude. The characters in Chef Hua have a lot of depth to them, just like the characters in A Little Thing Called First Love. The female lead also isn't annoying. The drama is also pretty light-hearted.
All I Want For Love Is You seems promising. Apparently, it's another highschool-college drama where the female lead follows the male lead to college and he tutors her. This one seems promising because the synopsis says that the male lead likes her from the start, which will avoid those moments where the characters are arrogant and don't like each other and are generally very rude. I might check this one out soon.
You could also look at the other dramas Zhao Jinmai and Lai Kuanlin are in/will be in, because actors tend to play similar characters and/or act in similar dramas.
I am on Ep 2 and its not grabbing me. So excluding FL, should I continue?
Haha ok! I understand that it's not for everyone lol Have you seen the General's Lady? It recently came out, and I like the female lead actress from another drama, so maybe it's good. I think only a few episodes are out at this point
I actually feel so bad for the second male lead... I actually like him. I like the main male lead better, so I'm happy with their positions, but I wish they could both be happy and both have a love interest

Have you seen My Fantastic Mrs. Right? The male lead is absolutely adorable! The first 2 episodes are on Youtube, and the rest are on the iQIYI app or website, free, if you're interested.
I've started Love me if you Dare, but I haven't finished it yet. I've just really been in the mood for cute male leads lately, and Jinyan isn't the most arrogant or annoying as far as male leads go, but he's not cute either... I might continue watching after My Fantastic Mrs. Right
I'm watching on iQiyi- they have an app and a website- They also have a ton of shows with your type of male lead
I'm watching My Fantastic Mrs. Right rn!! I like it! They're cute! Sm:)e had a cute male lead, too, but it was a bit more on the stressful side? Love in Time also seems promising. I haven't browsed iQIYI that much though.
He's honestly a sweet and doting ML! He only seems cold at first, but honestly he's very doting and caring after…
can I like skip to the part where he starts being caring? lol honestly tho... could you like tell me what episode? I'm sure I'll understand what happened before through context
