Stumbled upon this movie on Netflix. It's so beautiful. The cinematography. How familiar the characters feel. Their struggles as individuals and a couple and how they bear it with humour and friendship. And their romance. Their love. The moments. You can feel the joy of unrestrained complete lost-in -the-moment love/joy. And you can feel every strain on the relationship. Goodness. The ending. Everything was perfect. Even the credits scene. Such a perfect love story.
Okay so I wasn't feeling the high school parts of this version at aallll. They didn't get the spirit at all. But…
They took out a lot of the dramatic parts from the grown up parts in the Chinese version and it's okay. (E.g. him selling his car to pay for her comics etc) but I still kinda wish he did the fake girlfriend schtick because that was absolutely hilarious.
Okay so I wasn't feeling the high school parts of this version at aallll. They didn't get the spirit at all. But the grown up parts (Episode 19 onwards) have been soooo goood. It ties together much more cohesively than the Chinese version. I feel like the Chinese version sort of became disjointed after high school but the Korean version flows beautifully and that's nice. The last few episodes have been soo heartwarming.
Aaahh, this drama gets better as it goes on. Episode 1&2 did nothing for me,, but now on episode 8 and I'm enjoying it. It's so cute and heartwarming. Perhaps a bit heavier and less fun than GGS but that's okay. Grunt and Ai Jing are sooo cute too. And Wang Anyu... *Fans self*
I'm about to drop this. On episode 8 now but it's already sooo dragged out. Too many characters and ALL their stories are about unrequited love in some way. It's like having a crush is the only thing that happens in the character's lives. They wake up in the morning, haaavvee crushes and then go to sleep. Repeat the next day. The soundtrack/slow motion would lead you to believe something super dramatic is happening but most of the time it just turns out to be the most mundane things. I dunno. This is doing nothing for me.
No spoilers please (just on ep1); I started watching this then noticed another drama with the same name on Netflix and the characters have the same names as well. I just want to know if this and the other Unrequited Love are the same story or one is a continuation of the other or a spin off?
The C-version is my highest rated drama on this app. I had high hopes. But disappointed in this version. It's just not heartwarming. Which is sad because that's what made the C-version iconic.
So fun story. I started watching (Eternal Love) TMOPB. I watched the first episode and liked it so I searched "Eternal Love" and downloaded episode 2 and 3 without really looking. And I started watching it and was soooo confused. I was like, "the OP sounds different. They're introducing so many new characters. What's going on?" And then I later realised it was THE Eternal Love I had been watching and it was a different drama. TMOPB got me into C-Dramas, absolutely loved it. Didn't like The Eternal Love as much but I watched it later out of curiosity since they shared names.
Looking for spoilers... Can anyone tell me how Miss Shen's love story goes? I'm close to dropping the drama but she and Wen are still interesting to me.
although she may be very dull (I didn’t think she was dumb) due to her lack of senses, she is so cute and adorable…
Yeah, I understand not being able to feel love. But no 20 yo should be so completely clueless and foreign to the concept of love, relationships, marriage, jealousy, even if one has never experienced it. I understood more about this than her when I was literally 5 years old (not exaggerating). Too much wide-eyed infantile "innocence" for me to stand. I guess this drama isn't for me. Thanks.
