Finally here is my synopsis for Ep 9. I had a real satisfaction while writing it.https://wide-ocean.home.blog/2018/12/09/chugakusei-nikki-ep-09-synopsis/
you guys i feel so bad for shotaro. he really does the most. i can't imagine how gutted he was that it's a "mere" middle schooler wrecking his life. i actually did cry that scene he came back from a run and sat down in front of the fan; he just looked so dejected. at the end of the day, he's willing to accept everything but she still leaves him. it's so heartbreaking. he protected her, defended her, accepted her. and still. she feels so little for him that when he caught her with akira at the end of episode 4, she didn't feel anything, she just looked at him. it was until akira's mom showed up that she felt bad.
i'm a little mad at both akira and hijiri at this point tbh. she barely thinks about her fiance. and akira is dumb thinking he's an adult. hijiri should have never accepted that kiss and akira should have known better than to try to initiate it because even if he doesn't care, it's not his job on the line, it's hijiri's. he keeps asking hijiri for things without thinking about where it's going or how it'll be for her; i find it selfish. he's obviously still a kid though: impulsive, unable to control himself. i thought he had matured a little in episode 3 but i'm not too sure now. what exactly was their plan if they hadn't been caught that night?? i shudder to think.
after the time jump i'm really looking forward to seeing them have an actual connection and conversations and stuff. i'm looking forward to a more mature akira and hijiri too. i would like hijiri to become more thoughtful and less passive/docile.
so episode 5 is supposed to air today and episode 4 subs aren't out yet. i think i might run mad. i need to know what happened to lead up to that kiss. i'm not entirely thrilled they kissed cuz i felt it was a bit premature but idk... TT.
me tooooo, i'm so nervous. i freaked out at the very end when his mom showed up. i need to know what happened…
Yeah exactly! That was weird. Why was she not scared of seeing her fiance? She didn't try to pull her hand away from Akiras. Is it because of something Haraguchi said to her? Dammit subs, come out already!!
me tooooo, i'm so nervous. i freaked out at the very end when his mom showed up. i need to know what happened…
yes... i think they got carried away. the very first scene in episode one, when she's reading his diary he apologised for losing control of himself. this is probably what he is referring to.
i don't think we will ever know what they were going to her house to do because from the time they kissed to the end of the episode there wasn't really dialogue. well, i hope NOT. maybe he was just seeing her home or something.
Waiting for the subs the see why they were going to hijiri's home…. Really both of them got swept up in emotions.…
me tooooo, i'm so nervous. i freaked out at the very end when his mom showed up. i need to know what happened before then and why she ended up kissing him when she had made up her mind to end it at the end of episode 3. i hope i get some explanations because i need to be convinced of their relationship. they have sweet moments between the two of them but to me it's not enough. because seeing as this is akira's first crush, it may just be a fleeting infatuation which seems strong because he's never felt this way before. urghhh, i hope once the subs come out, it all becomes clear what exactly his feelings are, and what exactly her feelings are and how they decided to do that in spite of her fiance and her position as a teacher and all.
okay but who else feels like akira really grew a lot in episode 3?
in episode 1, he's upset with her so he slaps her. then he wants to be close to her so he puts his hand on hers. then he feels he likes her so he tells her his feelings. he doesn't know what to do them or think how uncomfortable it'll make her. he just tells her, he doesn't think about HER or about the effects of his actions.
in episode 2 on the road, he hugs her, not caring about the repercussions and about people seeing them. and he drags her into that shed and is bothering her about it. being wholly rude and overly forward. again, not thinking. just acting selfishly.
in episode 1 and 2 he's a kid, acting on impulses. not thinking about her or her feelings or her comfort or what it would mean for her to be put in that situation.
but in episode 3, he has learned. first, he learns to listen to her. he remembers that she said he's causing her trouble, so he stops bothering her. she sits right next to him, her hand next to his, and he exercises restraint, he knows that he must not put his hand on hers although everything in him wants to.
Starts of really cute good and amazing but just starts to drop after ep 12 ish. The ending was cute but unsatisfying?…
Completely agree! End was so unsatisfying. They never resolved or addressed any issues. But it's not like they ever did much talking tbh throughout the show. Just making out, montages, walking in the rain, pining to see each other, keeping stuff from each other, more montages and acting cute and making out. I'd still recommend it though. Was on the verge of giving it a 9.... wanted them to do something that would make it go up to a 9 but it kept hovering between 8 and 8.5.
Wow. Learned something new today: smoking stats. That's almost half of men above 15 smoking. I was so surprised (disappointed) when I learned that Taeminnie and Lee Min Ho smoke. Been worried about GD and TOP as well. But I guess it's not too unusual considering this info.
Also...Apart from the whole "holds cigarette in mouth without lighting it" I've also seen "holds lit cigarette in hand without bringing it to lips." They are creative.

sorry for the long comment. ^^
