Lovely drama, no unnecessary bad accidents to make the plot “intense”. I’d say that unique chars were really the strongest point. Also if you’re conflicted about “love triangle” - yeah, there is one but it’s not like two men fighting for a girl. It’s actually quite regreshing. Also, it has really nice bromance.

She's novelist, her others dramas made into drama: Boss & Me (other name Shan Shan Comes to Eat; 2014), My Sunshine (Silent Separation; 2015). You can google it easily. Also her novels were translated to eng by fans.

Sweet, warm, romantic drama without misunderstanding. Main couple actually speaks openly about everything and they trust each other. Also it has the healthiest relationship I've ever seen in drama. Male lead doesn't try to control female lead, female lead doesn't try to control male lead. There's amazing harmony.
When it comes to acting, we all know that YY is still a bit stiffy, but once he has a sneaky, cheasy or kiss scene, he's all melt and give us satisfying performance. Ok, when it comes to kiss scenes the perf was just the best I've seen in a long time.
What an amazing ending. It was perfect from the very first ep until the very last second. The final ep didn't feel like all those draggy slow ends you know from dramaland.
If you don't like this movie, just give it another chance after some time. I have seen this movie uncountable and I feel it's better every time I watch it.
Do we have to watch the first season to understand the story ?
Well, at least watcher should try to get info about previous season. People can't understant importance of Ruo Bai and other relationships. I don't know if there are some recaps out there, but I'd recommend to check it out.
