When I'm biased I do admit. This time I'm not being biased toward Li Qin, the truth is she is really the better…
I have to say that this is the first time I saw Li Qin. I don't have many favourite actresses, but she will be one of them. She can play her character so well. She is tough and badass, but she can be also kind and sweet. Perfect balance. And yeah, Qin Hao is definitely a Male lead, not those flower boys, who are just boy leads for me.
I agree entirely with what you have said. I'll just add the fact that I keep getting vibes of Wuji and Fuyao...…
Agree, I hate weak FL. They are usually annoying and cry so much. Like Le Qing. She has no chance against Lige, because she will crush her. Not that I am a feminist, but it's nice to see strong women with great martial arts skills.
So far it's really great. Main leads are kinda cute together. Female lead is cool badass, unlike other FL in dramas she is not annoying at all. And Male lead is amazing. I love Qin Hao, he is hansome and charismatic actor (I loved him in Tomb of the sea 2018) Production is great, fight scenes amazing and background just beautiful.
Finally a decent Chinese drama with excellent performances from all actors and none of that overdubbing which…
Agree, overdubbing is terrible. My Chinese friend told me that Chinese people just love clear voices. But obviously the fact that usually the voice doesn't match how the actors open their mouths isn't important to them. Like I get that Chinese is a tone language and sometimes it's hard to understand, but for me some actors have great natural voices but they are always dubbed in new dramas or movies. That's why I usually look for dramas without dubbing. In my opinion, Korean dramas are the best and Japanese are also great.
Even though there were many bad reviews, I gave it a shot and I don´t regret. It was great and Wei Wei and Du were so cute when they were together. Wang Kai is amazing actor and Joe Chen also surprised me. Of course it is not a perfect drama, but I still enjoyed it and I was laughing many times.
It was great and caught my attention immedietly. Just the ending wasn't good. I prefer happy endings. I don't think I will rewatch that. Still great drama though.
It was really funny. I have never liked Hu Ge, but he was awesome here. Still the best was his Master. So funny when they were together. I was so pissed when his own daughter killed him. Seriously, why?? And I don't talk about the ending. I love Chinese dramas, but sometimes I don't get why they love making bad endings.
What could be a great original drama was completely fucked up because of the last few episodes. So many unnecessary deaths. Seriously, I liked the drama, but the ending was soooo stupid.
One of the best historical dramas I have ever seen!! For some people it may be sometimes a little bit slow paced, but I think it is better than too much action and intrigues. I have to admire Ray Ma for amazing performence and his incredible voice. Also Tse Kwan Ho (Gardner Tse) was magnificent as Cao Cao. Although you hate him, you cannot help yourself to be impressed of his character and admire him, so for me Tse´s Cao Cao is the best I have ever seen. In overall it was amazing drama with very famous chinese history plot. Plus awesome OST at the end of the episodes!!! Recommed this for people, who can appreciate a good asian historical drama, but not for people, who love too much action or romance.
It wasn't bad, but also not good either. And the end was weird. Either they should make it longer or don't put that scene there and just end it. Sometimes it was sweet and funny though. I loved Tse Kwan Ho's chracter William, he was a villain but still very good acting!!
I liked the drama until ep 40 cca. And the ending was bad!!! So many bad decisions that the produceres made. But I really loved master Guo You Dao, so funny!!!!
At least there was Japanese in the drama bc I’ve seen some dramas like this and the Japanese all spoke Chinese…
I agree with you. Also the worst I've seen was Mystic nine drama. The "Japanese" were Chinese actors, but what was the worst the Chinese actors were speaking Chinese and there was a Japanese (very bad) dubbing, so you could see that it doesn’t match with the way they were opening their mouth. I can speak both Chinese and Japanese, so it was bothering me a lot. Is it so hard to learn a few phrases in Japanese, so it matches the dubbing at least? So bad!!!
I loved the first season, so this is amazing surprise. I didn't expect season two. I totally love the last episode. It was sooo satisfying!!! 남궁민 씨 화이팅!!!!
I guess that for Chinese dramas Japanese actors doesn't exist. It's so bad when Japanese are played by Chinese. Like seriously? Is it so hard to get Japanese actors? I love Chinese dramas, but this really sucks.
And yeah, Qin Hao is definitely a Male lead, not those flower boys, who are just boy leads for me.
