And yes, I never got what was so great about the ballet dancer either! She was just there to ruin everything, there was nothing in her that I think Shin should have loved. It had to have just been the exact thing he said, they were the same. Both stuck in a world where they feel chained and alone, feeling like no one could understand them. That happens to everyone I think, but most people make changes then and maybe reach out to one friend, but Shin and her just resigned themselves to being the typical tragic hero/heroine. And yes, Yul did really come across as a baby in the drama! He wasn't that bad in the manga, and I actually liked him for a while in the manga, but in the drama I had the same feelings as you. I didn't have any sympathy or desire for him to get the girl or the thrown. I just wanted to slap him and tell him to stop being such a little girl. XD I think it had mostly to do with his kicked puppy face he was ALWAYS wearing. He didn't even need to whine.
It's good you got to see friends and meet all those authors! I've been so far removed from reading actual books for a few months, that you make me want to pick up one!! It's also good you got to crawl back to your bat cave afterwards. (This sentiment comes from the heart of a fellow hermit. :P) So many people all of the sudden is always a shock, and it's always weird to realize how out of place it feels to have someone everywhere you go, no alone time. haha I'll have to look for a new book to read, maybe it'll break the drama funk if I find a good one to read for a few days! :D

It's totally ok that you missed, because I fell asleep and ruined it first (maybe first?) anyways! >.<; I woke up and felt horrible, and then felt less guilty knowing I wasn't the only one. XD haha I'm sorry you had to spend that long in that much heat! O.O It's always shocking when you find yourself without power and you realize just how much everything you do depends on it. I'm glad they got it fixed though! :D
Oh you have to watch CYHMH! Don't let the number of episodes deter you or how it comes across as a total melodrama! The episodes went by so fast, that at the end I was looking for more! and while there is a decent amount of drama in the beginning episodes and it really feels like a melo, it gets better once the kids are grown up and the story moves along. Then it just had the same amount of drama as any other series. The story is an awesome one, and there's so many complicated relationships that it just tangles you up with them. And while it does have it's fair share of cliches, it does them amazingly well. It also has an awesome ending, all flowery and rainbows with puppies everywhere. The synopsis on all the sites I've read really do CYHMH no justice, it's almost appalling. Anyways, I hope you watch it sometime for sure! :D
GI is a cute watch, but as for I do, I do, I don't know if it's really worth watching unless you've run out of other things to watch at the time, or just want to watch something a bit odd. I can understand why people would rate it bad, but I guess I'm a little more forgiving with different plotlines and whatnot.

hahaha Oh geeze, I need to pick better dramas to recommend to you! That was my fault, I know you well enough to know that that would become a problem, and in my happy after drama phase, I just ignored all of that. XD It does get pretty strong, and even me, (Who has a little less hatred for the second male leads, I just look at them as lost puppies..) it got to be a bit much, but I think the drama saves it by having the REAL relationship trouble be between the brothers. I think I'm going to watch it again so I can keep up with where you're at. Also, I think the second male lead is more than just that because of his relationship with the female lead being more than just a romance type thing, and because you get to see HIS past and reasons, more than you do in typical dramas. He's not just there to play the second male lead, if that makes sense?
I hope we can get together this weekend for movie watching or something! Last time fell apart, and if it weren't for Ally missing because of power, it would have been my fault because I fell asleep. >.<; Please keep updated with how you're liking CYHMH! Stick with it! I think episode 5 or 6 is when everything starts to get better! I beginning is major melo, and I guess I skipped a little of it until it got to when they were adults! I'm so sorry I didn't tell you of that! I was just so busy riding the after affects of it that it left my mind! >.< I PROMISE it gets better! Thank you for trusting me and sticking through it! The relationships they build are so darn adorable, it makes all the bad go away without a second thought!! Let me know when you get further!! I think I may go an re-watch it from when it gets cute again. :P I'll do my best to remember such things in the future when I make recommendations! I went onward to I do, I do, which was a pretty good drama. It was different as in the typical roles of male and female leads, but it was a fun watch, and I love Kim Sun Ah so much. It's not a favorite, but not bad at all. Then I finally, FINALLY, watched Goong. It's been itching at me for so long, and I know I started to hate the manga because Shin was such an asshole throughout the whole thing that it just got so frustrating, and I gave up reading right at the end because I just thought it was too late to have that kind of turn around, but I really loved the style or art and the world they created, so I figured I should try the drama again. It was pretty good, and while I do think some of the acting was HORRIBLE in a few scenes, I'm glad I watched it. They actually did an awesome job at keeping it a lot like the manga, and while shin was still an asshole, it was worth it to see the cute and funny scenes between the main couple. I did skip over all of the political backstabbing and evil plotting because I already know the story, (once I read a book/manga, I always remember it once I get a glimpse back into that world) so I think it was less frustrating because I ignored those scenes. XD haha Then I tried I Need Romance, but stopped because I've entered a massive drama funk. Then I tried In Time With You, and stopped for the same reason. I'll probably go back to them because objectively they were good so far.

I think I've watched three whole dramas since I've last updated you! @.@ I apparently don't sleep much since I got used to the medication. XD I watched Can You Hear My Heart, which I told you about, but I kept going back to it. Such an awesome drama I tell you! Then I went from that to Great Inheritance, which has the same male lead, and he's just too damn adorable to NOT stalk. :P It was a pretty good drama, cute and mostly fluff and lightheartedness, but I liked it a lot. Friday or Saturday would probably work out for all of us I think. I know Ally's on her girl's weekend (So jealous!! :P) so we'll have to wait and see! I'm stalking the main male lead from "Can You Hear My Heart" right now and watching some of his other dramas. He's just too darn adorable!! I looked up Rookies, but I don't think I've ever even heard of it. Is it good? I know we like a different types of dramas sometimes, so maybe I'll give that a shot soon and see if I like the style! <3

Woah! Really??? I didn't understand the full gist of what the drama was supposed to be about, but that sounds horrible. I'm creeped out just hearing about it! And then she faked it all on top of it?? I'm definitely never going to watch that, at least until I run out of every other option, which I don't think is even possible in one life time. XD I don't understand how some character's minds work in dramas. Ugh.
And I put off Can You Hear My Heart for the very same reason! They way they market it, or the way the synopsis makes it sound, you'd expect a tragic drama that has you sobbing all the time (like Missing You, even if it was awesome and I love it, it was definitely a drama that made you sob) but while it has those parts, it really isn't that bad at all. I laughed at a lot and swooned a lot, and just plain awwed over the cuteness. There's drama in it, and I can see how they'd market it as a melodrama, but it really isn't even that. At least not the majority. There's no more drama in it than most have at least. I guess I wouldn't let the fear of heartbreaking sadness keep you away is what I mean. XD

Awww I'm so sorry you had to endure that!! I put off 18 vs. 29 because of that concern over her age and wondering if they would play that card. You know, have her act like a baby the whole time and somehow some rich and powerful guy that everyone wants falls for her. *rolls eyes* I don't buy it for a second, and if he really does love her, then something wrong with him and he's no longer perfect! XD haha I'll never watch it now though, so thanks for the heads up! I really hope your next drama goes better! And yeah, that's exactly how I felt during AGD with the sister! She drove me up the wall!!
I did just finish Can You Hear My Heart, and if you're looking for a really good story that has awesome characters and can twist familiar plots into something new and fantastic, you should definitely give it a shot! I'm head over heels in love with it right now! The synopsis does it absolutely no justice, and I would explain it better if I didn't worry about ruining it. It's just..that good. XD It's a little slow in the beginning, but after a few episodes, it really snags you and doesn't let go.

I'm always so uncomfortable during toilet scenes!! I suppose that comes from being raised in America, or maybe just the way I was raised, but it's just something I never talk about. So when it's shown on dramas so blatantly and without shame, it's hard to watch. XD Take the scenes in Flower Boy Ramen Shop for example, they had at least 5-6 bathroom scenes, and EVERY time I ended up shuddering or just skipping them. I'm just not one for toilet humor I guess, literally or figuratively. XD I was also torn between being wooed over the period scene in Personal Taste, and being so horribly embarrassed that I couldn't watch. I don't think I'd ever be able to have the gall to tell a love interest that he had to go get me pads during a major event. I'd die. Definitely a different cultural aspect I've had to get used to while watching Asian dramas. Awesome article! ^.^

The surgery was a simple one, and only took an hour all together and I left the same day. it would have been more complicated if it wasn't the far left bone, but i'm glad they just got it over with. I think the doctor knew it was going to have to happen for a while now. And yes, lots of Asian boy company! :D Chris is around a lot and spent the whole day yesterday fluttering around like a mother hen. XD haha I'll never call him that to his face though. :P I think in a few weeks movement will be easier and all together a month - two months for all braces/casts to be off, then comes physical therapy to re-train muscles and get my foot/leg used to walking/free movement and weight baring again. There's an end in sight! :D
