People that are complaining against Im Sol completely miss the point that its not Sol's choices that lead to Seon Jae's death. Its Seon Jae's own choices that leads to it. Specifically his choice to save her, even when he know he's going to die doing so. He reiterates that while he's dying after being stabbed by the serial killer. He made sure that he didn't let go of the serial killers hand until he saw that the detectives were there and that Im Sol was now safe.
Thats why they showed Im Sol taking that choice away from him altogether and severing the link that connected them. The Sudden Showers scene when Seon Jae first saw Im Sol.
Also! We know Seon Jae enough to know that even if Sol shared her plan he wasn't just going to sit there while she walks around as bait.

For me it was when Im Sol and Seon Jae met on 2023 on the bridge in EP 7 that I feel in love with Spring Snow. It was the ferris wheel scene in EP 14 that truly made me fall in love with Spring Snow again.

You & I and Spring Snow have been stuck in my head for DAYS! The OSTs for LR as absolutely amazing. It's the first time that I have loved every single OST from a show.
LR has a lot of unpredictable moments BUT the best one has to be the one at end of EP 2! It changed the entire narrative of the show. It wasn't just about a fan saving her idol.
The ending for EP 2 will forever be one of my favourite moments because it showed that it was Seon Jae that loved Im Sol first - it was love at first sight for him. It wasn't just a mere story about a fangirl going back in time to save her idol and they eventually just fall in love. It's more than that.
With Seon Jae, no matter what timeline it is, what age they are, where and how they meet - it'll always be love at first for him. He'll always be there for Im Sol, he'll always choose her, protect her - in every timeline even when he knows the consequences.

I think they didn't really think the show would get the attention that it did. Even with KHY in it. She's pretty underrated in my opinion. LR is basically the underdog of 2024.
They said a lot of actors rejected the role of Seon Jae before BWS took it too. And that it took 3 years to produce. It shows how little faith ppl had in it right off the bat.

Pretty sure it'll be a happy ending. I doubt they'd set up a fan viewing if it was an open ending or a sad one. If they're doing a fan viewing to me that means that they're pretty confident that fans are going to like the ending.
I know sometimes they film multiple endings and then go with the one that they like the best. Seeing the sheer amount of love and attention that the show and the leads have gotten, they'd definitely go with the happy ending than a sad or open one.
