Title Fated Hearts
Yi Xiao could threaten and kidnap Sui Ge because he allowed it. He wanted her to vent her anger and feel equal…
I did not understand that. It does make better sense now. Otherwise I thought it was rather ridiculous, but in the context which you've described it's a bit clearer to me now. I'm glad you were kind enough to take the time to explain that to me. Thank you!

Title Fated Hearts Spoiler
I tried starting Fated Hearts because I love Chen Zheyuan. But by episode 3 they had this stupid woman holding a tiny little piece of glass to the throat of the fearsome killer general who apparently can't fight a girl with one good arm and a piece of glass in her hand, and neither can any of his fearsome guards. And so she manages to kidnap him right in front of them, drag him out to the woods and string him up on a tree. Again with one good arm. I think I am done with this series as well.

You're right about the sexist comment. I was angry at the direction the series had taken, and I responded in a less than gentlemanly fashion. Please enjoy your victory, if that's how you see it. I've already dropped the series and so see no need for discussing it further.

Does the main characters of this series have anything to do with the main characters of the original series TBOY.are…
From what I have read, Lei Ling Ze is from the same genealogical lineage as Lei Mengsha (Dashing Youth) and his son Lei Wujie (The Blood of Youth) and is also from Lei Fortress. It's never been specified what their exact relationship is, but they are definitely from the same lineage of the Lei Clan.

Edit: Lei Ling Ze seems to indicate that Lei Wujie was his master, and fans have speculated online that he might actually be the son of Lei Wujie and Ye Ruoyi.

Hyeseong and Taejun as rivals was messy enough. But the two of them as allies is just pure neurotic chaos! Between the four locks and the bathroom scene, I just couldn't stop laughing 🤣 That episode definitely lightened the mood for me and made me better able to enjoy this series. I look forward to episode 7. ☺️

I admit that my feelings about this series, which initially were filled with euphoria, slowly turn to disappointment…
I am in agreement with everything you have written here regarding the present direction of the Tim and Pai storyline. None of it makes any sense. Even if Tim were telling the truth that he genuinely fell in love with Pai, how does that square with the fact that he waited until the week before the wedding to finally break it off with his numerous paramours? And Pai losing everything because of him but then later staying in his home and frolicking playfully with him the very next day is just plain madness. I was very disappointed with this episode. If the next one doesn't bring in some sort of realistic resolution I will have to set this series aside. As to North and Yu, I am simply overjoyed that Ohm isn't doing his standard "walking iceberg" rrole, so I am enjoying seeing him doing something completely different.

I have subtitles. Where are you watching?
It is definitely a YouTube problem I suppose. Although it is odd because I always save the playlist that I watched something on so I can refer to it later. And the playlist belonged to the production company. So I'm not sure who to blame. Anyway it doesn't matter now. I've just found a playlist uploaded by someone who has uploaded the episodes in vertical format, but with all English subtitles. Thanks to you or else I would have forgotten to check again for weeks...and they could have been gone again by then for all I know. So I'm watching it to the end this time! ☺️

I'm in the US. I had subtitles for a bit and then they disappeared. I was going to wait a few days to see if they would return, because they have been appearing and reappearing randomly.

This has been frustrating to try to watch. I wanted to watch it a week or so ago, but there were no subtitles in English. Then finally a few days ago I was able to watch a few episodes with English subtitles at last. Now, again there are no English subtitles. I'm sorry but, this series is cute. But not worth all of this effort when there are so many others out there to watch that don't take a Raiders of the Lost Ark excursion to find out how to watch them. We're done here.

Yes!!!! His was literally one of my favourite characters in that series. I still have the image in my head of him acting out a promotion for visiting Thailand in the first episode of Make It Right when he was cute little Lukmo. Him hypnotising Fuse into liking guys was hilarious as well...😂 He has grown up to be quite handsome though. Shame his character was such a jerk in this series...☺️

I am laughing up a storm because I am only partially through episode 6 and I have to say that this drama is definitely made for women. In the real world, a man being asked to sleep with a woman would just say "Hell yeah!" and be done with it. This series is so silly. It's so over the top exertions towards female empowerment...it used to piss me off but now I find it hilarious! You poor girls. The lengths you will go to get what you think you deserve. How many more dramas do you need for Christ's sake! 🤣🤣🤣

I'm just just waiting for her to dress up like a man now...oh wait! She already did that! The tropes just keep coming!🤣🤣🤣

You girls just don't know how poorly this crap helps your cause...which is why I love this crap! Please bring me more! Another girl in a moustache please would be incredible! 🤣🤣🤣

I'm having this dichotomous experience right now watching this and loving it whilst at the same time cringing like mad when watching Duang With You...🤣 Duang is giving me agita whilst Toru-kun is giving me 🥰

I am on episode 38 of this incredible series, after binge watching it for the past two days. This is among the greatest Chinese drama series I ever watched in my entire life! So many incredible actors and so many interesting and engaging storylines going on at once...I was thrilled that it wasn't turned into some typical idol romance drama! The romance storyline was peripheral at best - just the way I like romance storylines. 😂 Ni Da Hong as Lord Hu was perfect casting. He does extremely well with these complex villain or hero type characters. Even in the series it is clearly stated that the question remains as to whether his character Lord Hu was a loyal or treacherous official. In Ever Night he portrayed a character who was responsible for the slaughter of an entire household of over 100 people, but he was convinced he did it for all the right reasons. He interestingly enough repeated the same crime in this series for far less noble reasons. Bai Yu, Zhu Ya Wen and Yu Hao Ming kept me spellbound in every scene they appeared, especially when they all appeared together. They each shone brilliantly in their respective roles. Seeing Bao Jiang Feng in such a serious role after only recently having watched Love Like the Galaxy and his hilarious antics as the emperor in that series was a bit jarring for me. I just couldn't get used to it. 😂 I'm not looking forward to finishing this, because I am loving it so much. But I just can't seem to stop watching it! ❤️

To be fair, it's not just the Chinese. There is a famous joke that to play Romeo, who was 14, you have to have…
I won't disagree with you in this respect. But still... wouldn't it have been more consistent if they had a younger actor play the younger role if they were willing to do it for the role of Hong Chu? That's my only real question.

I have only just started watching this and I am always amused with how Chinese dramas are always so adept at ignoring age and gender so wilfully. In some dramas they swear they can't tell that an obviously very feminine female is pretending to be a male. In this one they are pretending that a 42 year old man is actually a very young man. Why didn't they just have a younger actor portray his role until a later date, the way they did with Hong Chu? How very strange. Chinese dramas will never cease to perplex me...and yet always intrigue me at the same time. 😊
