I just finished The Blue Whisper (Which I loved) and eventhough the ML doesn't start toxic he becomes that way…
"A hero would sacrifice you for the world. A villain would sacrifice the world for you."
This quote no longer has meaning to me, all because of TSL. I enjoyed LBFAD, but honestly, I've been eternally changed and touched by SDYQ. I loveeee TSL because SDYQ is truly one of a kind. It took SDYQ to go against his entire existence and world to protect YeTan and their love. Like she said to him, he's the hero of the world while she's the villain. YET never once did he make her feel that way. In contrast, his words, actions, feelings made her as whole and complete as she'll ever be in any lifetime. He stood by her not only physically by going against the realms, but emotionally, healing her broken heart from years of torture and misunderstandings for lifetimes to come. He made her feel worthy of love, trust, joy, hope, dreams, and goodness. It was because of him that she grew up, matured, stopped hurting herself, stopped thinking negatively, started dreaming of a bright future, began choosing her own fate, stopped spiting life, stopped pushing herself to become something she never was like the baddest devil, to accept the fact that she deserves to be happy too for the first time. She finally loved herself through him and of course, understood why he chose to protect the world that will never know him by sacrificing 1,500 years of his life just to die. She became the sole reason for his sacrifice in the end. That's why she followed him and did the same. She didn't want to see him die again, not for her. He has done enough. That pain she witnessed when he pulled her out of guixu was enough to make her think, that for him, for the world he'll continue to live in, was worth sacrificing her life for. That's groundbreaking for me for both characters. I'm protecting this drama, the leads, at all costs.
Then of course we have Chao Feng and Qing Kui who were so beautifully written as well. Two epic loving stories in one drama, that WILL NEVER come again.
https://youtube.com/shorts/xrFo5ISlH5I?feature=shareJust came across it. They are so lovely. And that sparkle…
I love it that only TSL fans know that this is an inside prank between CXX and LLD, a cute gesture CXX has always done towards LLD from the start to now. Haha.
Oh yes...and I'm reposting the intro because....why not "Youqin is still sensitive to physical touch, even though…
I'm sure it's good and thank the fan for putting the time into writing a real ending for all of us, but I haven't read it either because I'm shipping them in reality, so it's a bit awkward for me. 😅
in ep 33: if husui could reveal yetan and qinkui's real identity, why didn't she do it before man man died??
I think it's easier said than done. Everything happened so quickly. Man Man was defending the girls, so Su Zhi didn't expect she'd end up dying but when Man Man was killed right before their eyes, and the twins were next, and the husbands were no where in sight, Su Zhi had no choice but to summon their powers as a last resort. It's very understandable. Su Zhi never meant to reveal their identities, ever, to protect them and let them love and live their lives peacefully. Once Su Zhi reveals their identities, there's no going back, so it really was the last last resort.
I love that YQ got to experience life via his three shards.
As a fire demon, YQ had an opportunity to fully understand YT's horror stories of being labeled a jinx. It made him want to protect her even more and her pain, personal.
As Greed, YQ got to experience the hardships common folks endure just to make a living. He was born a heavenly crown Prince, so everything was handed to him, financially. He finally understood how YT must have felt being starved in her earlier years.
As WenRen, he gave away fake feelings to protect himself. He didn't rely on anyone and didn't allow anyone to rely on him; he didn't have to carry the burden of saving the world and sealing guixu. He basically had no heart and purpose, just living out his desires, emptily. However, that changed when he fell in love with YT. He was able to enjoy the simple life of cooking homemade meals, playing games, and just enjoying art with her, realizing that having a purpose isn't always bad, that purpose isn't necessarily a goal either, but it could be a person, yes, just one person, love.

You should try non-xianxias that are airing like Royal Rumors instead.
