WuDai isn't intelligent but he, in the end, has a heart and treasures those around him. He gave up his life and throne for QingKui. The look on his face when the Void Tyrant killed his right hand was enough to know that he has woken up to reality that he will no longer stay blind.

The reason why I dropped Chong Zi is because of the cast which can make or break the drama for me and the story telling. I don't think Jeremy has that aura of such a teacher like Wallace Huo, so it was hard for me to take in their love story. Then Yang Chao Yue, she may have a cute face but her acting is still pretty bad to me. The production looks cheap to me too. And I'm sorry, some of the stuff they make her go through which ultimately pushes her to become a demon is really exaggerated. I know, I know...fantasy can take it to that extreme but I guess, I've grown out of the whole suffering and dying 10 times love story.
TSL was a breath of fresh air. The cast and storytelling is close to perfect, I've never praised such a drama this highly before.

I totally get it that people are bored of ZLS but objectively, she's a pretty good actress for her generation. Like Landi, she's not annoying playing cute or playful characters. So that's why I said she'd be a good YT too, but of course, only if she doesn't tire out the audience with her back to back dramas. I don't like that either. She needs to mentally allow herself some time to properly exit out of one character before she jumps into another or else she'll be bringing JLS into every role instead of becoming that character and ends up acting the same.
