I actually find it rather bad and after 16 episodes I decided to drop it today. It doesn’t get better after ep7, it’s always the same. I can’t connect with the characters or care for their story. Imo they’re not well written and/or not well executed. Also the plot … Maybe you have to be a fan of one of the actors/actresses to enjoy this one.

Tan Jian Ci is also a huge traffic star but at the same time he’s also doing other, serious productions, like his movie „Sound of Silence“ and then „Empty Gun“. Being a traffic star has an expiry date. This is why I hope Chen Fei Yu does many different projects and branches into directing.

I have watched quite a few and I don’t understand the hype either. It has a good director with an eye for beautiful shots but that’s about it for me.
The novel on which it is based is very popular and the actors are as well, but I‘m a fan of neither FL nor ML so maybe that is the reason why I‘m not blown away. The romance here doesn’t convince me at all.

Imo LS1970s did very well!

People on the poj page are saying that poj already has way more views after 10 episodes on one platform than LS1970s on all platforms altogether. I really cannot believe that‘s true and I don’t think it will have a rating like LS1970s on Douban.
