I agree with your points. But I‘m not so happy with how the FL is written and portrayed. And I’m definitely not lolling forward to some of the things that seem to come. I absolutely loved episodes 1-12 and would have wanted to see more of their interactions like those and ML smiling his typical little smile 🔥

Yes but it’s the most charismatic and good looking role in his career imo, so that makes up for the little screen time. I cannot imagine that he won’t be important later on in the drama.

I presume people watched the trailers or at least had an idea what this drama is about. Why start it anyway if it’s something they can’t accept onscreen. There are so many other dramas to watch.

I‘m very disappointed that PJ so easily believes it was YCX who sent the soldier. Apart from the fact the he has proven time and again that he was extremely reliable whenever something happened, and he saved her mum’s life. Apart from the fact that by now she should know and trust him. Apart from these she should know that she has many enemies for different reasons. In the beginning she was portrayed as extremely intelligent and resourceful. Where did that go? Or she was never to begin with.

I must admit I‘ve never seen any one of her dramas.

It’s not that I dislike her, she has strong moments and she is very pretty, and irl she seems likeable. But she seems too cold in portraying her characters imo.

I‘m not happy with YPJ. I don’t know if it’s on Xu Ruo Han‘s acting or if they really wanted the character to be portrayed like this. In many scenes, especially those with YCX, I can’t help but wonder how a different actress like Ni Ni for example would have portrayed the character.

Well she was a suspect of conspiring and trying to murder him. You cannot say he had his love interest waterboarded. At that point she was not. And dealing with suspects of such a crime those practices were normal during that era.

No he hasn’t played a dark character. But he played a difficult character in Lighter and Princess (the romance was very push and pull there too), he absolutely owned that role. But like you I‘m not sure he could pull the dark side off convincingly.

Well basically Cheng Lei is the only actor I can really imagine for this role. He’s phenomenal in every aspect here 🔥😍

But if I must think of one I‘d probably say Chen Feiyu.
I love Tan Jian Ci but this role doesn’t seem right for him. Liu Xueyi is a very good actor, but can’t really picture him here, also he’s a bit too mature to play a 22 year old.

I thought she’d broken up with JXT when she learned about how he used the Japanese girlfriend. Now he showed her again what a villain he is by framing the man who repeatedly saved her and that way harmed also his country and she still does not break up! She obviously is not in love with him either, so why? And I‘m very disappointed that she didn’t tell YCX.
