Which is quite nicely done, as even by 36, we are not sure. I would say we are 80% sure he won’t, but cdrama, nothing is impossible 🤣 another mystery is whether it would rush n crash 🤣 mad dash to the finishing line in pieces 😜

Lost you forever - I wasn’t drawn by the first 2 eps, especially the first 2 eps is pretty stock standard drama plot, nothing to feel special about. And knowing it’ll be over 50eps, it feels drawn out. And while YZ’s drama tends to be well loved and popular, it’s also always quite long with decent fillers. And fillers have massive deduction point from me.
MJTY - haven’t watched it yet, but it didn’t seem to be well love because of its ending.
So if we were to look at all the facets, I wouldn’t call those 2 the best either lol. At the end of the day, each person has their best drama for the year. To you, not this one, to me and other, it is :)

Yes, that part of the book was sooo lovely, it’s heart wrenching because you get to see how well they know each other, how she finally understand him, and how his life was bitter yet he holds on 😭

Yes n no, everyone has first love, and sometimes you broke up, not because you don’t/stop loving each other, but you don’t see a future together. Over time, you will see that you and that first love actually don’t match, and there were many wrong things in the relationship that you overlook. I know Asian drama loves the whole first love ex BF GF get back together, but I can tell you that actually has a small chance of happening irl lawl. Same thing here, it’s not because she can only settle for ML. She has the choice of not being with anyone, that was actually a clear choice, she wanted freedom, she wanted to leave. It’s only when she saw XW and thought he was dead, that she knows what she truly wants.

I think it’s part of him being a gentlemen as well as he’s focusing on his revenge plan. First 10eps, XW knows YL wanted to ask her hand in marriage and because they always hang out together, he thought they are in love with each other. But then he observed her and found out she loves ZZ, so he didn’t say or do anything to come between them either. He also knows he needs to focus on his plan, but I think he’s like a dead man walking, after his revenge plan is done, I feel he would x himself 😭 to him, his only reason of living his hard life was for revenge… and another is he doesn’t dare strive for happiness, as a child who has everything and lost everything, he’s scare of having it all again.

In the novel, XW is basically just focusing on his revenge plan. It’s just over time, he couldn’t help but being drawn more and more towards her. Basically the first 20eps, how XW acts is basically like the first 200 chapters of the book lawl! The book has like 255c lol. Also I guess we run out of time lol, because in the book, the event of FY’s death really opens JXN’s eyes that XW was the only person could understand her, could console her.
