I never thought ZLH as sleeping throughout. Coming into this, I know nothing of ZLH except he was in LBFAD (which I watch half of first episode), and whatever from the trailer lol. And he was on point as XW.

Marcus doesn’t like to offend ppl. So his review is very mild, at best he either agree with the general public or not. But he never go into too much detail.
AvenueX goes to great details, but so much time, she lost in the technical world and forget to enjoy her dramas. And if she doesn’t, why not venture to something outside. And the one she enjoy is still uh… I listened to her and watch this drama where everyone loves and I dislike it very much >_< n got bored by ep14

The thing though there are shots that meant to look ugly: falling down shot, and the one where he meant to look derange. Even the kiss, can’t be overly too pretty either. The whole thing is about trying to give realism to the drama, making it grounded and not overly pretty. Sure there are some shots that unintentionally ugly, however, she doesnt give recognition to the one that need to be ugly. and the article i mentioned give example of the ugly shot when XW fall down on the last episode. so when article like that, and she herself just clump it all together/not explaining herself well, i assumed she thinks all ugly shots are ugly rather actually highlighted ok, this shot was criticised ugly but that was good because it meant to show an ugly side of the character, not romanticise his blood thirst. this fishbowl shot is just uh. thats the good criticism, the way she provide criticism these days are just not great

Problem with all modern dramas are they are shallow and silly scripts. And because they can, they make it into like 36eps long, where a lot of them, any less than 24 should be sufficient. So as much as I love LYX’s acting, I can’t watch all his modern shows lol. Not just him, BL, too. Though with her case, I can FF to her part n that’ll be ok lol. Because she can chemistry with basically anyone lol

lol, yes, that’s why anyone quoting douban rating as a mean to tell me how good a drama is, I’ll just shelf that person. Rating these days are meaningless, even rotten tomatoes has started to lose its credibility

Weird angle shot that result in “ugly face”. Early today I saw an article saying how SOKP use bad camera angle/recording techniques that just make the actor looks ugly. However, the shots that ppl seem was ugly is like realistic shot of someone dying (rather than compare to falling down and your hair, face all in perfect condition 😒). Or how a derange person (XW when he’s in a PTSD episode) should look? Like they should look terrifying, not pretty, idol like?

Yes, she said that, and she still hold the grudge against TTEOTM for that “2nd cp existed to be hated”. Dude, that was the plot in the book. In the book, that was their story, why do you want to lengthen their time on screen when it’s useless, add nothing to the story while cutting in to our precious 40eps?!
On one hand, she is like why do we care about first billed? It’s something from Japan, we shouldn’t care about it, the ML and FML should be the Ying and yang of the storyline.
